About a year ago, I was also not a watch person.

Today, I'm still fairly unknowledgeable but my first purchase, a rolex no-date sub (114060) got me started being interested in watches.

Maybe you will get poisoned too!

wanna kickstart a watch hobby?

easy.

start small.

plenty of good value-for-money buys from seiko/citizen/orient.

and yes, they're well-respected by genuine watch lovers and feature their own movements that they design AND manufacture.

not just mere "swiss made" watch assemblers that drop in a third party movement (from ETA, sellita, etc) into their cases, slap on a dial with their brand name and call it their own.
