So dishonest. My wife ask about my GS, I told her It's a Seiko and she stopped asking after that.

This. Or "it's a fake I bought overseas". Although sometimes I have to bust out the "old watch what you forget already meh?"

Hey TT, thanks for the lengthy reply a few pages back! Still looking for something suitable. I considered the 5167a for a while but with another kid on the way I need to exercise some self-control.

Another favorite line when a watch comes from the mail... "I ordered it last year and it only came in today."

haha... seem the PP aquanaut is really getting all the love! :)

if a travel watch is what you still want, you may wish to consider the dual-time version of the 5167a for that useful 2nd timezone as GMT/home time... (to celebrate baby's 1st month... and as an heirloom for baby, mah! =:p :D)

So, sometimes my wife comes with me when I offload my watches. She must think I'm some kind of master investor.

i bet she encourages you to continue in your watch investment! :D

You verified that the watch is bought from the boutique, or you verified authenticity through the boutique?

Both actually.

Used loupe to see serial number and matched to the cert.

Boutique then verified that watch was purchased there.
