you know forrest gump is a fictitious, lovable idiot, right? lovable. but still an idiot. nobody in their right mind will say they've enough money. because wants are unlimited.

mama is obviously not a watch lover. no need to show off. with a 365 seiko watch collection, a man can wear a different seiko every day for a year without repeating a watch.

can't go wrong with any Royal Oak. 15400 vs 15202, good choices to have! :)

Awaiting your wrist shot with a AP RO! :s12:

39mm blue dial jumbo ultra thin has the original cal 2121 movement. pricier to reflect its coveted & elite status. but well sought after by collectors & retains its value far better than other ROs.

39mm blue dial jumbo ultra thin on wrist: status elevation +++.
ROI: justified.
purchase decision: no brainer.

PP nautilus. pricey to reflect its coveted & elite status. also well sought after by collectors and retains its value well.

PP nautilus on wrist: status elevation +++
ROI: justified
purchase decision: no brainer.

Very good points, and it really boils down to the age-old debate between modern and classic. For instance, some prefer the slimmer lugs of the 4-digit and 5-digit Submariners, among many other differences like the crown guards and clasps.

My preference seems to lean towards the modern iterations, perhaps because it reflects a bold* approach on classic designs.

*Not the same as removing the 3.5mm headphone jack from phones.

Wants and needs are different, which is why they used the latter.

Even if I had a 365 watch collection, I would not wear them equally as much like bro Ed.YEO, even my wardrobe is mainly monochromatic.

Steel with meteorite dial looks interesting

Fr the photos it looks as if contrast will be a problem though. Hands are too thin and silvery (unlike the Hammerhead, where there's a thick application of lume) to stand out from the dial. :(

I thought the hands are blue. They need to show more photos! Cannot tell much from the existing photos :(

Dunno, I don't trust thin hands on grey dials much after my experience with the Bambino grey dial (v3). The silver hands didn't stand out at all from the background and I found it hard to read at a quick glance, which irked me to no end. That said, the Bambino grey dial was sunburst, which probably compounded the problem.

I would think in the case of blue hands it prob depends on how dark the meteorite dial is - blue hands away from light --> black (usually). Black on dark grey is bad. Blue hands reflecting light --> blue, so not an issue.
