Look forward to seeing his showhand shots of all his watches

Think need 8-12mm lens, super wide angle then can fit in all

No need what fish eye and wide angle lens.

Just stand back... further back... no no no... a lot further back, before you take the shot. Not sure if the resolution is good enough though.

Aiyo i juz wanna ask budget 2k wat watch can recommend and then a separate question abt tudor bb only -_-

with your budget if you're looking for brand new, you can look at laco or stowa if you like wwII german pilot-style watches like the b-uhr, sterile dial (ie. no logo) type A or type B watches. they come with swiss movement and you'd get change leftover.

if you like dive-style watches, you can look at rolex homages by steinhart/squale. again, they use swiss movements and can be had for $1k with change leftover. or you can look at tisell (cheaper korean homage) using miyota (citizen) movement for half that.

if you prefer more established brands, you can look at lower tier swiss brands like mido, tissot, hamilton, davosa, oris, etc

if you're adventurous, or simply like the styles of some out-of-production models, you can look at pre-owned watches (i'm a proud owner of an omega seamaster professional 2254.50 and seamaster GMT 2538.20).

buying pre-owned would require a bit of homework, knowledge, passion & research on your part in order to know its prevailing price, things to look out for, where to get it authenticated, etc

Haha my experience with them...they will not give you the original watch box but their brand box and they will not give you the full watch link. (13 links for Rolex) but they will sell the links to you at a unreasonable price.

along with pawn shops, many 2nd hand dealers are also price-gouging, super low-ballers who really buy super low and sell super high. only the desperate who need cash immediately resort to such drastic measures.

generally better off with private sales where both seller & buyer can get better prices.

of course also need to factor in authentication costs.

I think it's cos the Mori wasn't love at first sight (unlike your Ocean One Legacy lol). But from more photos posted by the bros here, it's growing on me a bit. I guess gotta see it & molest it in person before pulling the trigger.

not to be a wet blanket, but well, one may like brass when it's new, goldy, shiny & blingy. but what happens when it eventually turns green & icky? some claims to like such "patina" & "character". good for them. others may be furiously reaching for their cap cod cloth or sending it regularly to be polished to maintain the bling.

My imaginary impression of Ed.Yeo whenever I see his post:

*EY walks into a shop *
EY: I want this watch
Shop: Okay. I will get it for you
EY: hold on.. Give me all the colour available for the model

Satki EY buys all and walk out of the shop

:o

you're right!

Ed.YEO 大哥 doesn't just buy A watch.

he buys a watch SERIES or watch COLLECTION. :D

maybe his house is outfitted just like a watch shop with brand displays, showcases, downlights!
