Hi guys, not a watch expert here.
(Beo beo beo but never dare to buy any expensive watch)

I'm in Tokyo, Japan now and would like to ask what watch is good to buy and resell fast in singapore for a quick profit.
Not sure where to buy too, except the obvious authorised dealers in ginza and etc, so any suggestions on better places would be welcome.

Thinking of getting a patek to bring back singapore to sell, but my budget is only roughly 115k SGD
Any one who can provide me with some guides?

Thanks guys... ^.^

how much is patek 5712 and 5726/1A 001? Rolex daytona ceramic white? can pm me price..:D

The resident guru GX already spoken.

Can only assume that you've done your homework on the prices of the various watches. Worst thing that can happen is you get something at a price that you can't flip (and that you wouldn't want to keep)!

Good luck!

it's pretty simple.

As prices go up, the segment of people that can/will afford becomes lesser and lesser.
this why u don't see alot of patek wearers around.

usually is Rolex, Omega, AP. even brands like IWC etc also very little.

First pot of gold for young sinke = hoot AP ROO = bloody standard (for those who don't know watches)
First pot of gold for older crowd = Rolex, gold

Patek wearers have evolved from all these other brands before moving up.
A entry level sports or popular patek also need 24k.
so its abit high for the mass to stomach.
rubber strap/stainless steel case etc
24k can buy preowned full gold rolex leh

so if you want to flip patek, you better be sure you have the correct place/contacts/friends to offload if not sure diao du one.

somemore 100k, no joke.

Yup, patek is too pricey and a niche market.
If u r buying to flip for a quick buck, Rolex is definitely the brand to go.
The sport models are a good start.

the usuals

114060, 116610, 116660 etc

DSSD blue ok, daytona ok.

216570 explorer 2 polar ok, the explorer 1 21470

all these are pretty safe. if you can make 300-400 per piece, i say for it.

I like the "Andy Lau" Tank. That was the one that reversed my stereotype of the Tank as a ladies watch.

But hardly see it around... Perhaps at that price point, many other worthy options.

just a few years back that piece was damn popular. i think i helped 3/4 of my frens as well as forummers here get that piece. just tell the AD that andy lau watch can already.

had lunch with Elshan since his gf is away. couldn't stay for long as I needed to rest.

as usual, talk about watches, cars, etc. it's been a while.

buy the popular ones but patek hard to move ah, the amount of ppl that is willing/able to buy them is very small.

and most rather buy from shops since they're already spending a huge sum.

i suggest with that budget, play rolex better.

Thanks for the suggestion.
Earlier I went rolex but thought not as popular as patek but I guess u r right.

Rolex is way way way more popular than patek.

you need to do more research before trying to flip watches

You need to consider desirability vs accessibility. I'm sure most covet a Patek over a Rolex but at the same time Rolex is so much more affordable that you would be more likely to sell one, or a few, looking at your budget.

Everyone wants a Ferrari but BMW sure ain't going broke anytime soon.
