quite the opposite. I love roman numerals for dress watches.

why not get her a surprise gift then? If you don't mind preowned they can be bought for much cheaper than brand new.

I give up on her already.... have spent a tidy sum on luxury goods on her but she hardly uses them. Really dunno buy for what, just keep and admire maybe. She prefers plastic $40 watches and $20 bags. My friend said wife probably prefers cold hard cash haha...so I am keeping that in mind.

same la. got my mum a bag and she barely uses it. she don't dare use cause atas and she say not suitable for work.

so this year i got her a massage chair. haha cause i also can use LOLOL

I tried the JLC reverso but find them too thick. This one is just nice.

Which size did you try for the reverso? Looked at one recently and it's growing on me as well now.

tried many sizes over the years, as early as 2005......somehow none of them speaks to me. else i would have bought one already.

Good for u but nope not my cuppa. Still prefers the tank solo. Much thinner at the sides. More dressy with roman numerals with the right font.

The santos is a nice piece. I remember just a few yrs back when this first came out, it was so hot and many plcs no stock. Fast forward a few years later the watch still looks good!

Had wanted to get this some time back but decided to save up for something else. It's really a very nice and classy piece IMHO. Especially in gold and brown strap. I tried the JLC reverso but find them too thick. This one is just nice.

IMHO the santos is quite an iconic dress/casual watch at this side of the budget. Wife and I share the watch.

Im a sucker for big pilot too. But these 2 years like not much special big pilots coming out. Maybe due to bad economy. Maybe next year might have new limited models.

IIRC it was launched in 2004 to commemorate 100yrs of the cartier santos. very classic design and yet casual. 100m WR. Got mine in 2012/2013.

sizing is difficult, esp since I share it with the missus but the clasp matches the design really well.

can find quite a lot of preowned at 6k. ETA movement (?)....what's there not to like?

always liked to match strap color to dial color. thanks to Darkangel for helping me get this aftermarket strap.

might put it on the bracelet next. one of the nicest bracelets around with rivets and all.

Went to Terminal21 to check out the watch fair, Bambinos were going for the equivalent of 400+SGD. No bueno.

Even at the airport an SNKL series Seiko5 was going for 5k baht which is around 200SGD, in the malls this same Seiko5 was going for nearly 6k baht.
Not sure if I'm looking in the wrong places or what but this is really too much for a watch that can be had for 100 or less at Skywatches.

Thailand is never cheap with seiko.
However is a land of special Thailand only limited edition seiko.
