I think an AP 15202 2-hander is a nicer looking watch than a 5711.

And the 5712 is miles nicer than a 5711 for a small incremental sum...

Maybe need to molest more PP at the boutique to understand better...

How much is this, $40k+? Since you can fork out this amount of cash, why don't you go with some complications and pay a bit more, like the 5712 that Yatto has. Patek for me just needs to have some complications. Of course servicing will cost more, but what the heck its peanuts compared to the capital outlay for these buggers.

Today finally saw the level 5 people. Once they went into their unit, doors are closed. Had a chance to talk with them. Asked them why don't even come upstairs to ask how are we? They replied busy with work.

I am thinking. You need to work but I don't need to work? You have your own life but I don't have my own life? Because of them, my life is a complete mess and not even a word of concern.

Sorry for all these complaining. I know this is a watch trend and we should stick to it

I can understand where this is coming from. Try not to lose your cool with them, or you lose. I'd say find out what your options are at this point in time, then talk to them about you wanting to recover your losses on whatever insurance options they have in place, or otherwise.

If they don't, then you have to make a decision - perhaps with your family - do you want to go down the personal liability route? If so, then nicely tell them that you have no other choice but to do so. But bridges will be burnt, for sure.

In all engagements, I'd say try to keep a level head as much as you can, remember that they're not having it any easier as well.

Guys... I considering a nautilus 5711. One thing I want ask abt the price difference.

Let's say local AD discounted price is 100%, how many percents are:
1) grey price
2) typical EU AD price after vat refund (I understand it fluctuates with EUR/SGD)
3) 2 yrs old preowned with reasonable wear

??

I am not familiar with PP pricings, and would like to have some feel to decide on the source....

Anything else to look out for? If price difference between the three aren't big, I'm quite keen on getting from local AD.

Thanks guys!

It's impossible to get a 5711/1A-010 without any prior purchase of a PP timepiece and building a relationship with a SA. It retails for about 34k local, zero discount from AD. Greys are selling at mid 40s for a double sealed and prices have been going up. The white dial can be had for cheaper but still above retail.

that family sabo-ed you?

damn, what kind of people are they?

jialat man, HDB is supposed to integrate us and make us live together in harmony, make us learn more about each other and maybe friends instead of just neighbours.

but instead, we all, because of the stress in the society, trying our best to break away from the low-middle class segment, turned us into heartless zombie.

god.... i can see why we're one of the most unhappy first-world nation. (all those survey are bullcrap)

My thoughts are : There is a clear line between being friendly, concerned or whether they talk or dont talk vs what is legally required. Really, woth neighbours like that, there is no "relationship" to preserve to begin with. My sense is they are avoiding your family to avoid claims from you. Seriously, get some legal advice from friends who are lawyers or otherwise.

Hi Guys, for pre-owned rolex. If it comes with paper/card but no boxes. What is the difference you can expect for a similar watch with full set? Z series 16600.

Thanks

Paper/card is actually THE MOST IMPORTANT cos it's irreplaceable.

Boxes, manuals, booklets, tags, seals, etc can mostly be obtained, but it may involve effort & additional costs.

Easier & cheaper to get all-in-one Full Set if possible.

Of course condition & timing accuracy without further adjustments makes the difference, too.

Yay or nay?

Very tempted but I end game already...

Hmm... nice watch, just not so keen on the presage logo.

Seiko is also abusing their prospex logo. In the past prospex meant something. Now entry level watches also have the professional specifications logo.
