right now, he has a plan.
carrera will be his main line and start to branch out and develop other line.
cause carrera being the most profitable.
he also intend to reissue the heuer line.
for example, he did with the autavia. He's looking to create other likes of reissue such as the monaco etc. and he only wants to do 1 for each.

can watch the youtube here. he's a marketing genius. he made hublot what it is today.

Ya, I saw those. I search for his videos on you tube once a while.:D

This also makes for good entertainment. His views on in-house vs non in-house movements

In what aspect is the bracelet cmi ? Not comfortable? Interested in your comments about the DSSD as well thanks

Not sure about the MM300 bracelet but I think it shares the same clasp as a GS Diver. The build-in diver extension makes the clasps too thick. Also not as aesthetically pleasing as the Rolex Glidelock. The Seiko diver extension is exposed while the Rolex Glidelock is hidden.

Well its very subjective but Id agree in the sense that they were mid when they were trying to climb to the likes of Omega (talking purely on price points), but recently like 3 years they have decided to aim lower as they find the other brands all jostling for higher spots leaving a less crowded entry level spot. This is smart in my opinion, as at entry level they are quite the king amongts Tissot, Longines etc. Tag always wanted to have a grip at entry level hence their Formula 1 range, some argue it brings them down the ranks. But I think its cool as that's their style - Avant Garde.

But who knows now with the brilliant Jean Claude Biver at the helm....interesting to see how it goes. Under him they made waves by releasing an affordable tourbillon. I love listening to that guy talk about watches.

on initial impression, most will agree that j c biver is "smart" and marketing savvy.

BUT for those who are aware that it was him who grew hublot from a brand which only started in the 80s with quartz movements (ie no substantial horological history), shamelessly ripping off AP RO designs, pathetic QC for the money you pay - they can only conclude that he's a hustler with little honesty nor integrity. and so are brands like DW - dumb watch.

apologies to hublot owners for any hurt feelings, but if anyone likes a u-blow, they're miles better off with an AP.

Not sure why e carerra is e most profitable. However I agree if they revive e heuer and Monaco racing series. They really look good in the distinct racing colour combinations.

@snowver then I think I can only hope for pre-owned I guess.

the glidelock system is flawed and easily activated.
if only they can do better.....

bracelet is seiko's weakest link. if they up the bracelet game, i tell you. people would pay for GS than other brands.

not that i support hublot or what, but you gotta thank this guy.
if he can bring up a brand from nothing then, he can revive any brands that is dead today.

its not cheating or being deceitful, it's call marketing (we're all victims of marketing, rolex is the king of marketing, don't wear a rolex then if you feel Rolex is not being honest thru marketing). JC Biver leverage on the quartz crisis and made it work. then moving on to mechanical once the brand its established.

it's all business and we are the suckers for them, be it you like it or not, you buy, you're already a sucker. so everyone let's continue to suck and enjoy:s13::s13:

proving again that birds of a feather flock together: those dishonest, unsavory characters that lack integrity will of course idolize & defend other dishonest, unsavory characters that lack integrity. :s13:

lol says the one who got sucked in marketing so much by omega and rolex.

don't act on your high horse thinking you're not sucked in by marketing of these brands.

every f thing you owned, you buy, you wanna buy is all done by marketing.
even your old camera phone, also marketing. wake up dude.

:s8:

i wish i could be associated with the marketing genius, J.C. Biver. as much as you think he is dishonest, he is highly revered in the horology world.

and you? complaining of being poor almost daily, unable to afford this and that, thinking everything in the most negative way ever and yet you own multiple rolexes and omegas, your stupid what double demon nonsense.
hoping for the day your rolexes and omegas will rise so you can flip them. so how is that gonna happen? from the air?

it's because of marketing you fool.

god....

edit -

if you think you have a case and have the balls to make your case, go to international watch forums.
go state your reasons that J.C. Biver is a cheat and how he made us all buy stupid watches.
see what happens?
or even better, go to SIHH and Baselworld, go to the hublot, zenith and Tag Heuer booth and tell them your CEO is a cheat.
But then again, you cant afford to go cause you're poor. sorry my bad for such a bad suggestion for you. Forum it is

PS: remember to link me to the thread. i really want to read it.

Don't know about the glidelock system but i agree that seiko's bracelets can be improved. It just doesn't feel "solid" enough compared to other brands, especially when they do such a good job with the details like the dials, markers etc.
