I like the red words and date window lol...

I don't like the creamy color. Not because it's faux vintage but really, Pelagos is made for clear black and white for a stoic clinical feel. Adding cream to the mix makes it appear a little confused to me..

the current sla017/sbdx019 is hot stuff. but 5k for a seiko you can tank? they are legit watch makers. my friend describe seiko as the ghetto rolex.

Depending on your budget, I suggest you get a SDGM or a SARX, if budget allow just go for GS, definitely cheaper than buying at sg

Sinn 104 is a nice watch. For swiss watch, below $3k, can consider a Oris on a steel braclet.

Do you have a preference for sport or dress watch?

If you can stretch a few hundreds more, i would suggest a tudor black bay.

thanks to all who replied! really appreciated your input. currently leaning more towards the longines heritage legend diver.

I don't really fancy a dress watch as I will hardly wear them. so something like the longines heritage legend diver or the Tudor black bay would be ideal. although the price on that Tudor bb... lol.

To my knowledge, there should not be any particular JDM GS, maybe limited edition can consider though but I guess it might not be easy to find those~Just see what kind of GS you want, either a dressy one or the divers
I am still studying on GS model though, so I may not be right~

You may get little or no discount for Limited Edition GS from GS boutiques in Japan. The bigger shopping centers like Takashimaya, Daimaru, may also have their own LEs.

For the normal GS, they can be bought with discounts in places like BIC, Yodobashi (shops that sells electronic goods etc). Walk around and check out what they have, there are many shops like that all over Tokyo.

Remember to bring your passport along for tax rebate.
