all these options aren't bad, but i think most will lean towards Seiko.

best to try it out and see which feels best on you ?

Turned 30 2 weeks ago, since then decided to get something to scratch watch poison itch. On a budget so no fancy Swiss watch.

Got this seiko moon monster today, this shop is selling the sun monster as well for those who are interested. ( Price is less than 1k SGD each)
Comes with almost everything ( full box, instruction menu, rubber strap) BUT missing the guarantee card ( No warranty).

I came across this Calibre H-10 movement Hamilton Field Khaki automatic watch selling in Carousell. She is a real beauty and comes in 38mm case diameter, and 80 hours power reserve!

I liked Field Military watch dials. Just like my Hanowa Swiss Military 5584 white dial. I was going to give this black dial a second chance in my collection. Unfortunately, Hamilton Field Khaki is no ETA2824-2 movement today. This was the dealbreaker for me.

Just curious. Why is it a no no for ETA2824-2?

What I meant to say was the Calibre H-10 movement was the dealbreaker for me. The 80 hours power reserve seemed attractive, I may try to overlook the slower sweeping movement, but the new Hamilton Field Khaki Automatic would be costly to repair beyond its warranty because it uses modified movement.

Usually just change rotor only bah.

According to online forums, Hamilton now is under Swatch group, joining Tissot. This Calibre H-10 movement references the Powermatic 80 (ETA C07.111) movement made by Tissot and Certina which is based off ETA2824-2.

H-10 operates at a lower BPH of 21,600 (3Hz) as compared to ETA2824-2's 28,800 BPH (4Hz). This gives H-10 a means to generate 80 hours power reserve as compared ETA2824-2's 30ish to 40 hours power reserve, with very slightly less smooth sweeping second hand.

People also speculated the H-10 follows the footsteps of Powermatic 80, which uses plastic pallet fork and escapement wheel. Also, there are claims that H-10 will not make it easy for our favourite watchmakers to regulate the movement accuracy.

Only Hamilton / swatch can fix problems encountered by customers on these H-10 movement.

That said, there are claims of H-10 movement being very accurate of +/- five seconds a day if it is a good piece.

The Hamilton Field Khaki Automatic H70455533 is very handsome looking. If I have not gotten my ETA2824-2 movement Hanowa Swiss Automatic for around the same price first, I would have picked up the Hamilton.

You could look at Hamilton Field Khaki Automatic H70455533. She will complement your office wear very nicely.

Chrono24 selling around 11k. Usually local grey can get around same price. Not sure if swx greys have it or not.

Your info not correct, depends what you want fix.
Broken parts perhaps only swatch group.
Just assemble and clean any train watch maker can do it

Want a 2824 just look at grey stocks overseas or go microbrand

What makes u think so?
h10 is 80hr pwr res, 4r15 50 hr
Swiss vs jap- price point also different or you saying they priced same tier?
