Guys! Need help here hahaha. Am looking for a watch for my lady. She's used to wearing fashion watches (dw, rosefield etc.) but is also open to going into automatic watches. The thing is whatever I've reccomended is not up to her liking (Orient bambino, sarb 035 and even nomos).
So I now humbly seek wisdom from the elders here on what minimal automatic watch I can suggest. Budget is around 500sgd, with a silver case, 36-38mm and mesh strap. Kam xia everybody! Throw me whatever ideas you can think of (except the ones I've stated above)
Sent from Kong Island using GAGT
At that budget I don't think there's any swiss/jap automatic that's thin. I suspect thinness is one of the reasons girls like dw.
One step up, but not automatic is the Tissot Everytime series.
At least swiss ETA movement, just that it's quartz.
Tissot Visodate is automatic, someone suggested also. I think a bit out of your budget, and close to twice the thickness, can see if she likes. You'll probably need to test test see what are the features that attract her then easier to narrow down.
The other suggestion I have is to go for fashion mechanical watches from Fossil, Solvil et Titus, etc. Can see if she likes the open heart/skeleton designs.
Bring her to accept mechanical first, slowly poison one step at a time
My girl got into fashion mechanical watches (Arbutus) cos she liked the skeleton. Then now she is loving the Alpinist I bought her.
