not sourgrapes since also rolex owner.

I referring to local distributor. Now FC under FJ Benjamin whom imho like heck care the brand.

pricing too high not set by AD, but set by brand.
discount allowed can be controlled by brand or distributor.
marketing usually push by brand, maybe little from distributor iirc

FC and Alpina all under Citizen group today.
Alpina was under FC.

Sometimes I think that's a decision on Rolex's part based on the fact that they know the vast majority of their customers wear a rollie as a status symbol. Legibility is secondary.

Reflect all the lights for maximum bling factor! :s25:

Sometimes I think that's a decision on Rolex's part based on the fact that they know the vast majority of their customers wear a rollie as a status symbol. Legibility is secondary.

Same here. So far still ok, but sometimes when wanna take vanity wristshots a bit hard cos of the reflections.

Heard Rolex don't include AR as they want to make their watches shinier and more recognizable from a distance.

Ya, I heard of that theory before. They were saying that there is a distinct 'shine' of a real Rolex when seen from far.
