Am really thinking of doing the unthinkable here. Doing a straight-up 1-1 trade of my 114060 for a SD 16600. I just prefer the tapered and classic lugs of the latter.

Have you tried unscrewing the crown first before pulling it out?

i just went to Google my watch and its manual.
My is a screw down type.. meaning i must unscrew counter clockwise before pulling right?

buy turning it need to use force, any method to do it properly and not damage the watch

should i bring down to any watch shop and get them down? those in shopping centre that sell watch
will they do it for free or need to pay a small service fee?

not sure what the issue is here.. have you actually tried unscrewing? i dont think its so easy to strip the threads of the screw down crown if that's what you're asking.

Just use a bit of strength to unscrew. if it doesnt budge then its possible that the last person screwed it in too tightly. never encountered a situation where i was unable to unscrew the crown though.

I swear I have seen a Seiko 5 that resembles this, down to the 6 o'clock day window but I cannot for the life of me, remember the ref no.

Am very tempted to buy even if it has English day dial.
