Hmm I don't have an end-game watch and I can't afford 6-figure priced watches comfortably....

But as of now, I think I'm going to be fine once I get my:

1. 15400 Blue dial
2. Grand Lange 1 Platinum (I like the larger dial of 41.9mm)
3. VC Overseas (exact one to be decided)

Total gonna set me back around 75k more or less.

After completing this main collection of my PP, AP, ALS and VC, maybe I'll start to consider other watchmakers for different complications.

Right now I really controlling myself cos the IWC worldtimer chrono which I like is on carousell for 10k. Lun ah lun!

Ref 15202 more suitable for you bro, 15400 proportion wise not as good. And if you getting the vc overseas, trade up your aquanaut to nautilus.

But...but... I like the aquanaut.....

*works harder to earn 45k extra to buy the 5711*

Hi everyone, I getting a preowned seiko astron sbxa009. As I'm not a expert in watches, can anyone advise me what to look out for in case it's a counterfeit. Thank you.

Simple thing to look out for is quality.

I don't think many people do Seiko replicas bro.

Next up. Explorer II with ceramic bezel

I think the purists will consider such a model a sell-out.

The explorer has, throughout its history, been produced in steel and only steel models, staying true to its tool watch roots.

Of course, one might argue that ceramic isn't a precious metal and is a progression to leverage on technology improvements..

i've seen a mock-up of a ceramic bezel, white dial Explorer II online and i think it looks good and likely be a hit. it shouldn't be surprising since all bezels in new rolexes are cerachrome now. also, just look at how hot the ceramic bezel daytonas have become!

when rolex release a PM only watch series, the understanding is that it'll remain PM only, like the DD. but rolex has proven "never to say never" just this year when they "betrayed" original sky-dweller owners with the release of s/steel and 2-tone skyDs. :(

You said something like you were around town and happemed to go into an AD. Just curious, you were not targetting any particular watch and are rewarding yourself for hard work? When was your last watch purchase? I find rewarding oneself after a long time of hard work very satisfying. :)
Absolutely no intention to buy then, only for targeting purposes.

I'm in no way rich enough to go into the AD after a long day and hoot one watch on a whim :D

So at the moment, I'm at the exploration stage... for one sporty watch and a dressy one. The more casual one should come first simply for utility -- I don't have a critical need for a Patek anytime soon.

(Maybe if I do need one, then I'll just go in the AD, grab one and go hahahahaha)

Nice colour hew, from a perfectly straight bro :D, more visible hair on wrist makes the watch look more manly. Great effect there.

Like also how you don't baby a 40k+ watch and wear the joy out of it, if that is a phrase lol.
