just started this. my first automatic watch was bought in april 2017..which is a hamilton.

my first and probably my last rolex.

thanks. ya, gotta accept it as a buyer's risk when getting something from non-dealer. guess rsc is the best option..but gonna be painful to the pocket. good thing is..there's 2yrs warranty after the servicing.

some popular watchsmith are ex-rolex watchsmiths. i guess they are good with their tools for authenticating..polishing. but overhaul..probably requires better machineries. i am answering my own question. haha.

Buying 2nd hand for a watch that old one should factor in overhaul cost into the price.

The more I look at the dial, the more I like it!

Carrera on grey leather suede from Bandrbands. I like how the subdial matches the grey of the strap. The colors look more similar IRL.
