Hump day

No excuse to adjust the date cos we do not even need to check the date for “parking coupons”.

patek stainless 5711 was selling for 30k+ around last year (grey dealers), now shoot up to 50k+
saw a used 5726 bracelet going for high 30ks last year.. now used selling at 50k + also.

for lesser gains, would be 116500 which was selling around 22-23k (grey dealers) sometime last year.. now increase to 24-26k already

No need go to the PP level.
If you have bought these just 1 year back... happy everday wear also can song song now.

Based on my 2c knowledge..

Hulk.. +25%?
SS daytona... +40%?
Kermit.... +50%?
Zenith daytona..... +50%?

Amazing hype.

Pam? Sorry, the party's is over.

First day wearing this baby. My wrist is kinda small so even at the tightest setting it's still dangling a little :/

Bored on bus. Rarely see ROs in the wild and noticed what looks like a black 15400 on this Ang Moh. Funny thing is I think I saw the same guy with the same watch at MBS around 2 weeks ago. Small world, and maybe 1 watch man. :D:s12:

I always see these hot models as a case of you scratch my back I scratch yours. Manufacturer controls production to create artificial rarity, makes a big wait list, sold at above RRP, makes buyers buy it for good resale, resale prices are good, creates more demand....cycle snowballs and repeats. Very clever brand boosting strategy. Patek's 5711, Rolex's steel daytonas, AP's 15202 etc. while the other models struggle to seel to meet quotas. very clever marketing basically. Its like you see a heard of sheep, you just need to strike the right notes and get them all herding in one direction and the rest follow, the herd gets bigger. Take the AP 15202 for example, suddenly anything blue dial becomes more desirable, even blue 15400s, blue 15450s etc. At the root of this is also buyer's who buy and are afraid to lose money on it. If one has millions of dollars....one wouldn't care to hoot about this herd thinking and just get what one truly likes based on personal taste, who cares if one loses 30% after leaving the shop.

I mean these hot models are nice, no doubt but so are many other models and those in other brands. Just gotta get the sheep herding :)

Just some thoughts to share....

I think Omega had a chance to make their Speedmaster hot, but they didnt control production and create artificial rarity, and also their price point was too low...low hanging fruit.

Wow, thats getting very close to the AP double balance wheel openworked. If I could afford, the choice would be clear. Just look at the amount of work needed for this art on the wrist.
