Thanks for the recommendation I actually prefer to see/feel the leather so it will be best if the strap makers have a store in Singapore, of all the brands gunny seems very reputable and one of the store in mandarin gallery does carry it, will take a look at the local brands you recommend :)

Dont waste time with those premade straps. Get a custom made strap with waterproof treated leather for the backing so it will not stink.

Locally , i have tried Hughes handcrafted (Hughes Low) & Solitaire (Renyi). Both straps were well made.

Overseas I like Combat Straps (Aaron Pimentel). Abit troublesome though cos overseas and he dont do real croc to Singapore cos of shipping restrictions.

Yeah probably because edchys mention could not last, maybe he's referring to the strap that will stink.

Never heard of Gunny straps being not durable...tonnes of makers to choose from...analysis paralysis...ended up needed a nudge from GX and got together with him from some overseas online one. Very good.

Yes, I sweat a lot, especially in our humid weather. To clarify, it is not that the strap did not last but I just didn't want to wear straps that smell like old sneakers.

Solitaire is pretty crappy as far as I heard from my close friends.
I think there are better strap makers.

my own experience with him was pretty good. so far i have had 2 straps done by him. Hughes quality is finer though and his attention to detail is superb. Just that he is more expensive and takes longer.

If you go with hughes, you actually choose from the pieces of uncut leather at his workshop in the initial customization phase. So you can feel and see the leather before committing.

Made a few straps with hudges as well as a bi-fold wallet, very impressed so far though hudges does take a while so you have to be patient if you were to make one.

yeah, dc-4 is 42mm with Cyclops (sec sch boi need it :() luckily "'mine"" is big enough =:p :D .. but yours is a faithful re-edition .. more "heritage" value and the arrow hands look nice

most impt is only dc-4 is available at massdrop :s13: never seen no.1 on massdrop before. decided to get gmt instead of purist as pass reviews reveal dc-42 purist have lots of alignment issue therefore decide to hoot gmt version to play safe.

yours is also gmt right ? or purist ?
