New Santos medium seems too small ...steel u think can get 15%?

Tried it just now. Medium does look abit small on 7+ inch wrist (I need to add at least 2 links to wear it on bracelet - each link @$1xx from boutique). SS medium retails at $8600, and I was given 10% off and round down to nice number. Didn’t push much coz I couldn’t decide on size... but I think 12-13% possible for SS

Yep. 7 inch and above gotta go for large.

6.5 and below go for medium.

6.5-7 , personal preference

Hello everyone, looking to get a Rolex as a reward for myself for working hard this year, but unsure about what to get.

I have a slender wrist, so was thinking about the Explorer 2 (1 is beautiful but no date, which is a deal-breaker, was also considering the Milgauss.)

Any other suggestions for me? I'm mid-20s, mainly outdoor work (not office type).

All my existing watches are Seikos, so have no Swiss watch to speak of.

Submariner and GMT-Master 2 looks beautiful but more than my budget and also looks quite big.

I just dropped my Cartier automatic watch on the floor n now then second hand stop moving . Move awhile stop then move awhile stop . It is over 10 years old watch .. any recommendation to send where for repair ?? Tried wearing on my wrist n shake it .. move n stop ..

Think ahead. If you think you will want to get the Sub or GMT....might want to save up and skip the Explorer. Get something less pricey now.

Mid-20s, unless you dont intend to get married or are a high earner, might want to be careful how your spend this kind of money. In Sg, we work like hell true and want to reward ourselves,...but its exactly because we work like hell that must be careful how we spend. . Just my 5 cts.

Explorer 2 is a good choice.. Not so common like sub & gmt.. Abt 8.8k can get

If you really like the looks of the Sub or GMT 2, go try it on. May not be too big on your wrist. Don’t go for your 2nd choice! Budget wise, save a bit shouldn’t be a problem (provided that your job is stable).

Sub is one of the most common watches around... versatile in both casual and formal (not really formal formal).

GMT 2 adds a useful complication if you travel...

Each have their own fan base.

Whoops missed out on that. I would suggest the 41MM BLUE DIAL ROLEX DATEJUST II 116300, but it seems too dressy for mostly outdoor wear.

Congrats on your beautiful watch! I went through a phase for this not too long ago, and still like it very much. I think you definitely made the right choice going for the black dial!

Thanks everyone for their inputs! Talking about price/quality, is it "better" to get from 2nd hand sellers (watchuseek/carousell) or first-hand from ADs? Anything I should take note of for GMT 2 and Sub with Date? I am a total noob when it comes to serial no., movements, etc...

First time committing to something of this amount (other than my house and car ), so want to make sure I get it right.

The GMT 2 with its green hands looks really nice. Sub with Date was also one of my most envied watches since I was 18. I need a date because I reference to a date alot in my day-to-day job when I meet clients. I did try watches w/o date counters but it became too troublesome to double-check with my phone at the end of the day.
