Dropped by two watchmakers today and both refuses to do it because it's too time consuming. I then went ahead to purchase a couple of watchmaking tools to try it out myself. Pray that everything goes well!

Modding seiko is quite straight forward if you hv the tools, except the crystal.

All the best for your DIY endeavour!! I never did consider doing it myself as my clumsy ass fingers would probably betray me, to dastardly results lol

take out from the case back to remove the crown stem, then remove the movement.
do it from there for the hands. as for datewheel, more tricky.
crystal need to have the press.

Also @gx84 thanks for the video link, and since my turtle already has a sapphire crystal, there's no need to replace it with another one
