I sure lose money on my 116600 cos I wear it to bash despite non-"watch people" telling me to keep it in a safe to maintain its pristine condition for future .

As long as you are not intending to sell it, its value (whether it is emotional or monetary) can only be determined by you.

It is only when you intend to sell it, then others can low-ball you.

Only at the point of sale, the difference between the price you paid and the price you sold it for, would reflect a profit or loss.
