I was considering Explorer 1 vs OP39 rhodium and in the end chosed explorer 1 because of its versatility and it is easier to read

Got from hourglass few weeks ago

Guys, quick question. I'm heading down to Hour Glass today. Should I get the Explorer 1 or Explorer 2 polar?

I used to own a 111 and a 372. Never like the automatic ones. As they are too thick. Panerai is quite easy and fun to wind.
Didn’t manage to own 422/423as too expensive. Love the gold hands as I think you will find them in the 423. Overall it’s much more impressive than 1312 if you don’t mind the additional cost. Have u consider 372 as well?

Panerai resale value quite bad one hor. And if u buy 47mm next time if u want to sell abit more difficult as it is big n more high end.

No choice leh. It’s like my dream watch or watch to get. Most watches resale value also bad except for PP or Rolex. But not keen with Rolex that much.

I had to get the 47mm as my wrist are big, 44mm look kinda small on my wrist.

GX you got the blue!!!! Saw it om TRF. Cash it in if I were you. Hype at its peak now.

Edit : oh its not the 15202. But still 15400 is nice. Market price prob not much above retail as compared to 15202 then..might want to keep if you like it.

Thanks guys for all your comments. Hooted an explorer 1. Really liked the explorer 2 too but somehow this time, the explorer 1 stood out a bit more. Had the chance to try a DJ41 blue dial with smooth bezel and oyster bracelet and another DJ41 blue dial with fluted bezel and jubilee bracelet. The jubilee bracelet really damn uncle but the oyster one not bad.

Think next hoot will go for explorer 2 polar again.

Mine says hi....

Haha high five.

Like this size better than the 50th anniversary actually. It’s just a few mm but it does wear a lot smaller than that beast. Probably cos the 50th literally hogs the full extent of my wrist while this one leaves some space.
