Say yes to the Tank, but no to Roman indices?

If you've considered them, then it's great then! I personally won't get the Sinn or the Nomos automatics...

Tank is exception cos it's rectangle. Can live with the Romans.

But on a circular dial, it's spread over so wide around the face, a bit hard to accept it visually.

Why no to these 2 Germans?

I prefer plain Index Markers, followed by Arabic, then Romans.

Love Germans too, that's why Nomos and Sinn is on my radar.

Many years ago, when I ORD, my first proper watch I got for myself was a Steinhart Fliger cos back then I can't cross the mental barrier of 1k yet I kept lusting after a Stowa Flieger.

Now it's too late le. No point getting a Stowa Flieger le.

Nice Damasko you have btw.

You're rocking a Damasko yet you hesitate over a GBX 100?

I'm not against these two brands - in fact, I did have a Nomos and I'm looking seriously into a Sinn, it's just that I think the automatic Nomos watches are overpriced, and a Sinn 6036 at 34mm... I'd be looking at the U1, U2, U50s if I'm looking at Sinn.

Are the Seiko Presage Cocktail series watches good for everyday wear?

Seiko watches are good for everyday wear, functionally.

But I find the cocktail too dressy for daily wear, unless your work environment is very formal kind.

For me, maybe Alpinist, SARB or SRPE Seiko 5's. I also rocked an SKX007 on leather for a while - very versatile.

The main drawback for the lower end models, though those domed mineral glass crystals are really beautiful, is that they are mineral glass crystals.

So need some extra care when wearing, else the Hardlex will scratch up. Other than that, the work on the dial is absolutely gorgeous and I dont' think any other brand can compete, even with the recent trend in increasing prices.
