Mixed feelings about this. The Mars watch look like polar expedition...

Is there a change in omega mgmt recently? Seems like there's a big change in design and direction

OK la, everyone likes more colors. I mean, I have a Speedy, and I do know that $372 for a plastic chronograph is kind of a joke... But maybe I will try to see it in person in time to come, and see if any of the colours that don't come on the typical version pique my interest.

There were some jokes online about how Swatch turning into Undone, lol.

Just that I realise that radio control in Singapore is a feature that won't be used. Maybe they should just release one without features, just nice finishing and integrated bracelet and solar. Think it would be popular.

Remove some features and make it cheaper? They won't do that

Don't need to queue. Various sources including Fratello have confirmed with Swatch that it is not limited edition and will be made available online at a later date.

Queue only if you die die must get the watch fast.

So if someone slaps Rolex branding on a hamburger from McDonald's you would queue for 8 hours and pay $15 for it, and then bring it back home to keep in the freezer and take it out to worship every new year, and pass it down to your kids as family heirloom?

Methinks you need to care more about substance, more than branding or hype. Buy what you really like. That will bring you joy.

Mini cluster earlier at ion today. I went to look and so crowded. Poor staff answering over and over, cannot reserve, cannot buy today. There’s a small display near the door. Safe distancing ambassador made them close the doors and make a queue outside. There was a crowd from 5pm-515pm, non-stop crowd. I left to go other places and pass back again around 620pm when I took this photo.

Besides the omega brand and speedmaster design, the rest of the watch is swatch.

It is ok as a fun and colourful collab though a little pricey for a plastic quartz watch and it is definitely not a replacement for a real speedmaster
