Do u mean no more AD now for Vacheron and only via boutique? What are the chances of getting onto the wait list for Overseas?
100% Chance if you're willing to buy something else first. Otherwise they take down your name and throw it in the bin once you step out of the store.

only watch connoisseur will consider buy vc, als, jlc and etc. xmm no need ex watches to impress. a datejust is more than enough.

Visited the VC boutique recently, wanted to see/try an oversea; no chance at all and not even a 56.

The sale rep even told me if there’s display pieces in the boutique, there wont be a need for a wait list.

The same goes for AP when my friend stepped into the boutique, he was told the wait list for RO may take years to fulfil. In the end, he went to grey and walked out with ‘an elephant’.

Imho, watches were never quite a xmm magnet compared to say the car u drive (or just the fact u own a car).

And in digital age of smart watches, impressing xmm with a nice watch is even less likely..

For me anw watches mainly for my own pleasure!

If boutique pay decent basic salary, good place to idle.. i think when interview, yr skill to explain why no watch available is more impt than yr skill to sell a watch :ROFLMAO:

Just a Qn for watch collectors

Do you guys have blemishes/imperfections/issues with yr watches?

For e.g dust in dial / scratches on hands or indexes / scratch on dial/ bad paint job / uneven lu etc?

Will u guys actually go and resolve it or leave it alone?

i have had many experiences where I regretted sending my watch in for servicing / rectifying the issue.
For e.g I send my Omega PO in for a dust particle in the movement . Ended up with a scratch dial , dust particles in dial . Ended up with several trips to the service centre because new issues came popping up. If I initially left it alone , none of these nonsense will happen ?

i actually am now more tolerant of minor issues. As much as possible try not to tamper with the watch . Not sure with u all?

So u would actually go and resolve it ? Not afraid that once they open the watch , more dust particles might enter ? Heck they might even scratch the dial .

this was exactly what happen to my watch
