Happened to my Mudman before, which revived after two morning suns.

Casios in general are really robust. Do keep it in the sun for a while more, and keep us updated.

haha my Casio woke up liao after a couple of hours under direct sunlight. This morning kept it near window no use.

Can repair if you want, my full metal gshock internal batt also died, send to casio $55 iirc.

Interestingly, I've been waiting for my Mudman to show signs of breaking down as an excuse to get another G Shock, but the beast keeps going strong despite almost 10 years of abuse. Have been most impressed.

Wanna ask a general question on Casio Edifice solar powered watch. Mine is not working after 5 months in darkness. One whole morning of sun did not help. Is it can write off already lol

Glad to hear it woke up - but I think it is best to keep it charged from what I understand.

Otherwise the solar battery will expire faster than usual.

kns my GA2100 bought from hodinkee broke down in less than a year. went to change batt and it came back to live for abt 7-8hrs and went dead again.

want to send for repair also dont know if its worth anot.. now lying one corner.

I'm surprised to be honest, given that G Shocks are known to be workhorses. The CasiOak has been a bestseller, do consider sending it to Casio Service Centre for a proper diagnosis.

It would a great shame if such problems are representative of current QC. I have always trusted the brand: I managed to save up for my first G Shock just in time for NS, and it was a trusted companion which I eventually gifted to my buddy when it was his turn to be enlisted.

In comparison, my wife is into Baby Gs, but the batteries just doesn't cut it. Tough Solar for the win.

Tough solar is indeed tough. My g5600 is already 12 yrs old and still working fine but my dw5600 not only the battery is dead, the strap and all broke..
