wALAU, i think you are right ahboy... i think got woodoo lei.. becos previously everybody just blasting me for being stupid etc & not providing any solid opinions... after long time then you recommend longines i take a look like not bad mah.. The more opinions the merrier. Pls dont give me tings like 460k credor which is out of reach. Actually if you all remember what i post, i never mentioned about any budget at all. 1k is a forced reply else everybody is ignoring me. Like i said, if a watch not nice 1k i also think out of budget, but if got a watch that can wow, even 3k stretch a bit also can lar, hahaa. Die die also must act rich.

relax. 3k budget opens up a lot of selection choices. longines, oris, baume mercier, ball, tissot all got models of that range. u just have to go down different outlets and dig. i got my watch after like 3 weeks of running about, it is no easy task really.

to me, most important is firstly set budget. then based on budget can go hunting...and esp for watches better to see the physical stuff and try on wrist to see whether have "feel" or not hehe

yes. i can relate to this based on my last watch hunt. before deciding what to buy i shortlisted the rolex explorer 1 and 2, iwc spitfire and portofino auto. before trying these watches i was super in love with the new explorer 2 based on the online pics, and iwc was last of my choices. but upon going down to try alas, i do not like the watch at all. the min i put it on my wrist, i knew this is not going to be it. once i tried the portofino auto, alas, the watch "SMILED" at me. that's when i knew what i shd bring back. :D:D

How old are you actually ?

Why so scare people look down on you ?

Ok, i think i got to clear up the air just for you. Actually i dont think its much to do with my age. If i live in a world of my own then obviously i wouldnt care at all. All along i never like watches at all, even from young, then stop wearing altogether. Never been a fan. Never worn a watch for the past 20 years or more. To me, watch is never a necessity or an obssession. As you know there are many tools we can rely on to tell the time. I think its more of a status symbol now. But i am going to get married soon & relatives at the other side are all the highend people. Doctors, top bank executives, businessman, managers, etc etc. I think its more of a self-esteem issue. You know, the more you know you cant make it big, the more you wanna at least act like it. :s13:
