+1.

Ocean 1 Black Ceramic (the earlier post bigger pic one, slightly different from what u have ordered) is the watch that I will recommend people who are upgrading from their G-Shock to buy. Rolex sub lookalike. Ideal watch for a daily beater.

Please post wrist shot when ur watch arrives!

If have budget for another more serious watch, Steinhart Nav-B ST1. $1.5k for an IWC lookalike!

OBDLC? I hope the DLC on the bracelet lasts. There's been complaints that the coating on the bracelet in particular does not hold up to frequent usage. Did you also get the ceramic bezel to go with the OBDLC?

IMO, the OBDLC with ceramic bezel goes very well (if you like the stealthy look) with PVD natos. Unfortunately, I've enquired with Steinhart directly before and they only offer the option of shipping the ceramic bezel separately with the OBDLC and you'd have to figure a way to DIY or approach a watchmaker whom will do that for you at a fee.

Btw, Anyone knows where I can find Nato straps reasonable priced?
The Strap Shop? Westcoasttime? Timefactors? Just naming some of the best nato straps as voted by most in WUS. Locally, you may want to consider Gnomon, but go there, note what you want and buy online (better if you wish to buy a few pieces at one go).

tudor black bay or tag heuer aquaracer 39mm?
How about the Pelagos?

currently i have the black bay for 4mths. it is very nice under certain light but it is more of a dress watch. the aquaracer i see like can be most a dress watch and for normal casual wear. and the size might be better fitted for my wrist.

Hi, just wondering, is there any reason to buy online instead of buy directly from them? I'm thinking of buying a leather strap from them, and i need them to change for me.

I was considering the Nav-B Uhr/ST1 but they are both hand-winding watches...Like very troublesome leh >.>

Not really, in fact I enjoy winding them. Only takes under a min.
My daily beater is is manual. Some ppl like to interact with their watch other just wanna wear tell time and maybe show off. Lol

Get the manual wind as a 2nd watch when u are attending a more formal occasion. Take out, adjust timing, wind, wear for the night, put back to storage.

Daily beater auto, occasion manual, just nice.

Different price range. If you can, go for the Black Bay.

the tag seemed like i can wear it as a daily beater. just like to hear some reviews on it, i.e. is it worth it since it is quartz. if there is a automatic version of it at 39-40mm with blue face, then that would be ideal.

i look at my black bay, it is still a very attractive girlfriend. but it is more of the kind of girl u bring to show to people of higher class like at work/ functions. but some people just like to have a girl he is comfortable with even at hawker centre. "you know what i mean"

the tudor black bay is a very nice watch, but the name tudor might be little known to others or usually compared to Rolex. tag heuer probably is widely known and stands its own league.

The Tag model that you mentioned caught my attention last week. I tried it on and decided not buying it. I have Tudor Black Bay in leather strap. Can be used as a daily beater. I like the burgundy bezel. However, the Tag quartz is about half the price of the Black Bay Tudor. So, decide on how much would you be willing to pay for a daily beater.
