Use a cheap Casio watch with stopwatch function.
Trust Casio 100% to be accurate. And the error will be on your inaccurate mechanical watch.

casio bo swee la. Oni for very casual wear, however maybe can base on it to adjust the time on other watches. By the way, how accurate are quartz dress watches?

...Already set my sights on my next watch. Guess I have fallen to the dark side already. Omega Aqua Terra anyone??...

Definitely. I was recently quoted $7200 for the white dial version at one of the larger shops at the basement in Lucky Plaza. I am aiming for this one (someone posted this before), sometime in my future:

Hmm the 3k Aqua Terra is most probably the quartz version. The co-axial would cost about 5-6k? My friend told me not to buy Omega first hand cause it is really expensive. A good condition pre-owned will suffice.

That applies to most brands too. As with most items, firsthand owners tend to "suffer" the most depreciation. The bigger depreciation points are: (i) when you walk out of the shop; (ii) end of warranty; and (iii) introduction of new models.

That's a real beauty. I think the strap is an aftermarket one, can't seem to find it on the Omega website. $7200 is really expensive. Should try asking around bigger ADs like Hourglass, Cortina etc.

Amazon's price is around $5900 BEFORE shipping/taxes.

Yup. Unless I'm really sure it is a definite keeper I most probably wouldn't buy it first hand as well. Some people do not buy pre-owned watches for reasons like it came from a bad history(eg sold/pawned due to debts) or just don't want to wear a used watch.

This part not 100%

Discontinued model can be very highly sought over when they cant be found anymore.
