Guys, I just got some of my insurance $$$!!! Hahaha...:D

I'm gonna purchase a watch ASAP.

Should I get Audemars Piguet Diver or Panerai 243?

I asked around (women mostly) they said Panerai is ugly. But honestly I'm leaning to PAM as it is a few thousands cheaper (A LOT actually)

Which one looks good in your opinion? I'm looking specifically diver watch as I'll be using it for swimming and stuffs too. But, still wanna impress the ladies. haha.

Heard that AP prices are dropping... not sure if its true.

But if you are wearing for swimming, I wouldn't recommend buying an AP or Pam for that!

Good luck!

The sole purpose of the watch not for swimming. lol. I do real diving sometimes.

Anyway, just went to AD last week; AP price is still on the sky.

I think that you should use a real dive watch / dive computer if you want to use it for diving. I don't think you would want to trust everything onto such an expensive timepiece, which is still subjected to Murphy's Law.

but what do I know? I don't dive anyway! I feel you should get a watch that speaks to you, one that you know you can tell yourself that it is something worth it and definitely the right choice among alternatives.

my $0.02 though.

What brands have u looked at and it's a no go.

Hi, have considered Steinhart, Seiko Sarb, Stowa, but they are mostly leather/rubber bands. I have looked at other brands carried by Gnomon but the bezels are usually too huge.

Anyway why is it a no go?

Stowa can get steel what.
Don't think it's $500 though
Christoperward is your best bet, I own one value fir money. 5 yr warranty, they cover all shipping if its a warranty repair. Not seen brands that sell at that price pt offering such service.
