i just checked with my mum and apparently tt is a real one which my dad bought decades ago.

i think the watch not 100% in working condition. aft a few "shake" it will start moving but ard 10-15secs later it will stop.

so how shd i go abt it? bringing it to rolex service centre and got repair or just any watch service shop will do the job?

The uncle boss over at top hour, lucky plaza has the equipment to recondition your watch.

I dunno if cc can do it...

Anyway, pointless to keep on buying cheap watches - to be brutally honest.

As a man, go buy a good one for your future generations.

anyone know what are the key points to validate a Rolex watch?

just dug out a pile of stuffs from my store and found a pair of watch.

its still working after a few shake but i dun think its working 100% perfectly.

look exactly like this just tt on the bottom it wrote "Swiss Made"
instead of "Swiss"

the background color for the date is white instead of this which is abit yellow.

Your watch model number is 6694, it looks fine to me all original. It's a manual winding watch so shaking it doesn't make it run for long.

The background colour of the date varies cos it is originally white but after many years may turn yellow due to the storage conditions.

go for the stainless steel. the yellow gold doesnt look that good. and if its plated, the tint would wear off. either aspects, it loses. in practicality and aesthetics

i would say yes. go for it since yr watch is already so old. but mine was still working when i sent it in, not sure if yrs need extra repair work and will incur extra costs or not. just go in and ask??

have you manually wind the watch yet? instead of just shaking it for a bit. to verify, u can bring to rolex service centre and pay 107$. to fix, like someone mentioned, JW. although will take very long.

suggest you go and try out both pieces and see which one you prefer.
maybe you can go in your casual office-wear since i think both can easily go with more formal wear.
