hey guys, i am thinking of getting a watch for my younger brother's 18th birthday. Budget $200+. Able to recommend what brand/model to purchase? Looking for either Dress watch, or sports watch.

but 1 day old watch send for service abit bo hua, besides its only a ding on one of the lugs not the watch face or anything.

u send for polishing after yrs of use or isit of a particular damage u find it unacceptable?

I send for polishing when I feel it is lacking lustre, one after 1 to 2 months, as for the rest, after 2 years.

I just like mine to be as spotless as possible

At 18 year old, I don't take care of my watches. They get thrown around, swimming in the pool, soccer activities, etc. So G-shock is your best bet for your brother. :D
I got a G-shock for my boy too, and he loves it! :)

Old model IWC :D Got from my friend who needs cash. Initially thinking of getting a IWC 3777 or MB Timewalker but since my friend's 3717 looks new with recent service so got from him.

Avg discount at boutique for ROO is abt 5%. Get fr other AD can go up to 10-15%. Grey dealers can cheaper :D. Retail should b abt sgd34k only i think. One of the cheaper ROOs.
