I'm just saying US AD are more willing to give bigger discounts compare to our local AD.
Make sense to buy watches when traveling abroad than buy local since most watches carries international warranty.

Can we all just focus on watch appreciation rather than brand bashing? After all, this thread is created for advice and appreciation isn't it?

Tell that to that "someone". As if it is shameful to wear a rolex....

I own a few Rolex and I am appreciative for I bought them with my own hard earn money...

Everyone who save enough has the right to buy what they like , and I know all watch lovers here love their purchases to be appreciative, not to show off how exclusive one is.

This thread can continue to be one those who value appreciation for watches regardless of brands and status. I enjoy reading the posts even though i dun post much.

Thanks! It is my dad's actually. Handed it down to me with a torn strap and its case scratched to kingdom-come, because it was a daily beater! Haha!

Now using Cape Cod to polish most of the scratches out and thinking of getting a dremel to get the really deep scratches out...

Headache!!

Finally received the black leather strap customised by JnS, after 2mths.

Definitely better than paying S$700+ for the original strap though. 2 thumbs up for JnS.

I think they are value for money. Under Swatch Group, they get exclusive movement like those H21 & H31 since ETA is a wholly owned subsidiary of Swatch Group.

i saw alot of nosmos, stowa in frankfurt but didnt do much research so didnt buy..

wanted to go to a watch shop nickel uhren just behind my hotel but didnt had time to go..read they carry alot of german brands like sinn etc..

well too bad..last min purchase at airport..haha

the chopards were around the same price as the iwc aquatimer chrono i bought but they dont look too solid.

actually wanted to buy a breitling but i already have one navitimer..

It's not a hand me down

My dad needed some help replacing the original strap so he passed it to me to source for a customised strap instead.

We swap watches whenever the occasion calls for it. Sharing is caring!

I do have 1 hand me down watch, from my late granddad. It is currently being polished and serviced and that will be the "one watch to rule them all".
