I went for an omega event for olympics or something some years ago, also at paragon - and saw Lin Xiang Ping the mediacorp actress.... she looks really gorgeous in person.

yea, probably dropping by for a short while, since im interested in getting an Omega Speedmaster some time real soon.

$500-1000 can get any decent watch not ah? 1 year into workforce...
What do you consider decent?

I'll assume you want one to wear to work. try these:

As someone mentioned earlier, Tissots are a good bet at the sub-1k range:
Tissot Visodate (automatic) - if you prefer a more "mature" look :D

Tissot PRS516 (non-chrono automatic) - if you prefer a sportier look

If you don't need it to be Swiss, Seiko is another winner:
SARY series (automatic) - Made in Japan, SARY005 shown here

Orient, if you don't care about brand recognition:
The Bambino (ER2400) is recommended by more people, but I prefer the Symphony (ER2700) (automatic, and cheapest of the lot listed here :) ) :

sorry what does that mean?:s11:

i read from a watch magazine that the anti-magnetism technology will improve the time accuracy for automatic watches... so I just wanna find out whether will it reduce the +/- seconds of the watch
example from +/- 50 secs/day to maybe about +/- 20 secs a day.

What do you consider decent?

An actual photo of an Orient watch... the indicators on the dial are popped up... It looks really smart and classy =)
