What i meant was: Joma and other grey market dealers may unwittingly(?) pass on fake watches as their supply is from "unofficial" or "unauthorised" sources - as you have noted patryn, Joma has been known to have sold fake Visodates before.

Ace, being a Tissot AD, is far more unlikely to pass on fake items.

As I have noted Joma doesn't sell fake.
If u read thread not the title, forumers on WUS don't see Joma selling any fake. AD no worries of course.

i got my omega speedmaster from HJ watch. their online catalogue is pretty comprehensive so you can browse online before heading down to their shop.

I've so far shortlisted preowned Rolex Explorer I/II and because it is my first time getting preowned watch, so I really got no idea where to start or what to look for.

Besides HJ watch, any other reputable places that I can go to in Singapore or Seoul (going there soon)?
I checked sg-roc forum and saw quite a number of private sellers and/or dealers - is it safe to get from them?

Lastly, for buying preowned Explorer I/II, what kind of pricing and specs/details/checks I should be looking at?

just ask to send the watch for verification (usually buyer pays) and collect + deal at RSC.
$107, couple of hours to one day job.

The rrp in stores is 890 leh. Allwatches all these leh. 15% off gives you around 750 off leh. You got your price right anot? Unless the watch itself price drop.

You can try contacting those Nomos AD in Germany who are willing to ship to SG. It's much cheaper than getting from the Nomos store. That's what some of the WUS members did. And the AD is willing to remove the 19% VAT when told to ship outside of EU.
But you need to pay GST when reach SG.

i love this watch too....but prices have gone up too steeply for my liking
