definitely the PP for me...dont really like the looks of the full gold gmt2, maybe the 2-tone one will be a better choice

ah-ha I see you're a Man Utd fan (I stopped watching EPL after they won the treble in .... 2000?)

Not too keen on 2-tone actually.....

Nice dilemma. Wish I have one too :)

But anyways, I am not a Rolex person but given the choices available to you, the Rolex does suit you better. The current settings do play a part due to the "orange" tones of your skin and the desk that compliment the gold Rolex more so that the PP.

Well, it's your money and your decision, good luck with either one! :)

you don't need to lah, you have the watch that rules them all. I was quite touched by your post about that watch. My late grandpa left a Titoni .....I should dig it out.

wow you're a person of details! I didn't notice the desk but yes, the Rolex suits my skin tone better. And the lighting doesn't really help the PP.

I had a 2-tone daytona.... and it just looks neither here nor there with the 2-tone. But that's just how I feel. IMHO the jubilee bracelet looks better with 2 tones but not the oyster bracelet.

have u tried the everose? may suit you.

Oh, u remembered that watch post! :)

PP definitely for me but I would choose a lighter tone one instead of a dark grey? Nautilus, if there is one. Or maybe one with a black leather strap to contrast against the stainless steel casing and compliment the face of it.

Light colour watches or gold ones do suit you better!

yup - it really made me think of my grandpa's titoni :)

it actually is the lighting that I could not grasp so it looked like it's gun metal grey. I hate leather straps as I sweat easily and my straps hardly last a year!

ya that's the thing. it's a patek. period.

well... i think both this two... i personally feel that its not about the brand.
like what Azrielsc mentioned. alot of other factors come into the picture.

and yeah...the orange lighting in the shop, made the rolex look REALLY *bling bling*

the weight of the watch was one of the reasons why I chose it :s13: another reason is that it is not so "attention seeking" like rolex.

i prefer designs which are "quieter", especially when I will be wearing them overseas. I won't wanna be attracting unwanted attention :(

True too. I believe quite a few of us aspire to own a PP once in our lifetimes but if the watch does not "fit" the wrist for whatever the reason, no point getting it. :)

I know that I really want a Pam 372 but I just can't pull it off! The slimness of the case, coupled with the 47mm size and my puny 6.25" wrist, makes it a recipe for disaster! *Sob sob*

in term of size and color - rolex sub suit your wrist size and color tone.
in term of brand and looks - PP

exactly what I feel......

Hope you don't mind but i beg to differ. In terms of color the darker PP contrasts nicely with your skin tone. The gold rolex just seems to blend in, unless this is the look you are looking for.

And like the rest have mentioned, the PP takes top spot in pedigree, quality, branding, etc. And a PP being a sport watch is just as versatile as the rolex sub/gmt/daytona models. Can use in formal and casual settings. I wish I had your kind of headache. :D

Thats also one reason for the Patek. A watch I can wear all the time even overseas. A "sleeper" watch.

How about I wear the Pam and we hold hands and go out together ;)
