Of course to suggest means I'm a member.. No dress code, t shirt and jeans ok... Actually go there not atas place

Haha sicc IS atas la. Whether ppl dun take another look i take your word but not my concern anyway. I m concerned about dress code only because clubs have been known to be quite anal n refuse entry if guest or member are not in their prescribed attire. But again, my concern may be unfounded since u say tshirt jeans. But means no berms, my usual weekend attire.haha

Thanks ice flight,

But honestly I can't stomach the boutique's discount of max 5-9.9%. If Sincere can offer 20%-25%, it'll be great and I'll be glad to use your reference. I really want that discount and don't paying a bit more premium at a local AD. I know that richemont will raise their prices again in April.

I could be wrong, but that's what i heard anyway for the timezone piece and how it got its awesome pricing. My main concern is getting one at a good price because I want my money to stretch. I'm really looking for a good price on the RG timezone which I just missed out.

For the Langematik perpetual, the price which I saw isn't too far fetched as well

This particular piece's price which I saw wasn't in Singapore. It was where I visited last year in Japan, Kame-kichi. They're extremely reliable. I've been there and viewed their Lange pieces as well, the arkade and Lange1 where I was there to buy my rolex.

¥é¥ó¥²¡õ¥¾¡¼¥Í ¥é¥ó¥²¥Þ¥Æ¥£¥Ã¥¯¥Ñ¡¼¥Ú¥Á¥å¥¢¥ë 310.021 - ¤Þ¤¸¤á¤Ê¤È¤±¤¤¤ä ¤«¤áµÈ

Now if one cross-references and checks on chrono24.sg, the prices don't deviate too far off as well for the YG version. Is it a con-job? I doubt so.

Prices for A. Lange & Söhne Langematik Perpetual watches | prices for Langematik Perpetual watches at Chrono24

I've viewed other forums such as rolexforums and some articles and it is a common topic that ALS's resale value is lower than that of PP, in the secondary market.

ALS is definitely an up and coming brand, but I will only get a piece at the right price. I cannot afford paying that extra 10-15k.

On the Japanese site, the perpetual is made between 2002-2004, after those years the date setting button was removed... There is also one such piece at the mentioned prices on chronos24 at 56k sing but no box and paper.... The rest are all averaging around 70-80k...

The resale value is supposed not as good as PP? Not these 2 years....pls see pm

This thread is quite cyclical I think. When the big boys come out, the others lay low. Then when the conversation shifts to the seiko/tissot/orient or stowa/steinhart (disclaimer: all respectable brands, just stating factual observation), the big boys take a break. But recently it seems like those taking a stab into the rolexes and tudors getting younger + the big boys either are easing up to share their targets/purchases or they are simply doing better than ever because there is sustained, serious talk about getting high end pieces by them all the time.

Can only envy. That watch can pay for 50% of a normal car.

yah... but once a certain financial status is reached for them, these are just small change to the big boys.

We can just look on with envy :(

Nothing to be envious about lah. At the end of the day, everyone will have their problems. Poor have poor problems and rich have rich problems. Learn to appreciate what you have and you'll be happy as a lark :)

In terms of watches, it's been said here before that the best watch is really the one that you can afford, be it an AP, Rolex or Casio. Remember that as a kid, those cheap colourful watches will make all of us feel so proud and happy. Revive that mindset and you'll be happy with what you have and can afford.

At the end of the day, this forum is for sharing so please share about your experience about watches. Regardless of it's price point or brand, it's something we all like to hear about :)

Hear hear!

All of us are here in the forum to share experiences about any watches, be it, free, cheap, not so cheap, expensive and uber-expensive. No one is or has the right to judge each other on their watch preferences and/or purchases. There is no reason to be shy about posting your buys or preferences, we all have the common love of watches/horology, that's all.

Enjoy the watch that you have acquired, be it the long journey of searching for one , etc!

Have fun chatting about watches, guys & gals! I know I am enjoying myself here!
