Close enough! I can totally imagine it already, will look awesome (at least to me)

This is cheaper than Azimuth's Preowned Back in time prices right?

Hm...got me thinking. Buy 2. Change 1 to blue strap for wifey, one to black strap for myself.

Lomantic couple watch siah! :s41:

whoa whoa whoa. 1 step at a time. get your stowa first. :)

Sorry too excited! I have already placed the order for Stowa but have to wait (Mid April). I don't think I'll be getting the BIT if the Orientstar's price is attractive.

Max 2 pieces ( within my budget) I will pull my brakes for the year already.

These 2 can match? May consider getting them as a gift for wifey.

Where got sell the Orient Star?

Bencoolen got many.

haha.......... i hav this rich dick sect comm during my reservist days.. one of the night off last time he bought a $48K patek and brought into camp... you can see but cannot touch:s8:

Drop a rifle on it. :D

I just had this wild idea of how to turn this into a uber sexy piece. Maybe not for guys but for ladies because it involves swapping the bracelet with a cobalt blue leather strap. That electric blue hands and electric blue strap probably gonna turn some heads. (Cos I don't think many guys can pull off the cobalt blue strap)

Close enough! I can totally imagine it already, will look awesome (at least to me)

About $500-600 for the whole setup. It's really small at about 40mm or less. But very attractive. I nearly bought it but too small for me after trying it on.

Goes well with black and brown strap too.

Anyone reads the watch snob articles?

Yup. Sometimes quite interesting and sometimes quite useless. I always read it with a pinch of salt.

He likes to diss Panerai and BIG watches (anything more than 40mm or so), but I don't bother. Doesn't matter much to me because I buy what I like, not what people think of the watch.

As per earlier reply, Bencoolen shops like 3D, Wins trading. Any way the number of watch shops in Bencoolen itself is worth a visit if you've never been there before. The doorway to more poison awaits your presence. ;)

Best way to save money is to save first then spend..rather than spending first then save the rest :) Force yourself if you must if you are really determined to save. :s13:

Have 2 banks accounts. Dedicate one to credit your salary den setup a standing instruction of X amount of money (what you wanna save monthly) to wire to the 2nd account.

For best results:
-Setup the standing instruction for funds transfer on payday
-Do not apply for any debit or atm card for the second bank account.

Just sharing my method on saving, hope it helps!:D

for me, I have 4 accounts.
- UOB is for salary + regular expenses
- POSB savings is for GIRO
- MAYBANK is joint savings account with my wife
- 2nd POSB monthly savings account is my own "underground" savings

but I never apply standing orders. every month just withdraw money from UOB and deposit into the various accounts manually.

Close enough! I can totally imagine it already, will look awesome (at least to me)

Like Seiko, Orient Star watches are very versatile when it comes to straps.

BE WARNED! Bencoolen is a Cobra Cave. It is extremely DANGEROUS and EXTREMELY VENOMOUS.

ENSURE all your pockets, wallets, NETS, ATM, Credit Cards, Debit Cards are SECURELY FASTENED....

:s13:

I went to Bencoolen to see see look look two Monday evenings ago. I supposed it was a MOnday evening, so not all the watch shops are open...

The first shop i went in carries Orient but not Orient Star.

2nd place worth visiting is Mustafa.
3rd place is definitely the Orient AD in Aljunied - BIG Time Showroom
Orient Watch, Singapore

probably these few days I would wanna drop by Tampines Block 201E - Kai Joo Hung Optical & Watches and check out their Orient watch range...

i edited my earlier reply, should be $500-600.
adding on
the RRP for Orient Star Classic blue hands is around $770.

previously bought one for my dad... with 30% discount around 540 or 550

but I will hold out on getting Orient Star first, because I am waiting for the new Automatic watch from 25 hours which is arriving end of this week...

wanna see the design first... cuz the branch manager told me its very chio :s13:

if I don't like the new 25 hours auto watch, then I will go ahead and hoot Orient Star...

Dayum! That blued-hand Orient watch is so sweet! Will make the perfect birthday present for the other half.

Thanks guys for pointing it out and also for the where-to-buy info, but does anyone know which shop to go to exactly?

And Anyone wanna do a possible group buy?

Do u agree with him that nowadays 1k to 5k tier watches are all over priced. With that kind of budget it's better to go for vintage, in terms of Singapore's context?
