I have personally been using the Nike TomTom watch to log my run for a little more than a year now.
Haven't used a GPS watch prior to this and i have been running consistently for 23 years now.
I must say it's a pretty reliable and relatively cheap GPS watch that you can find readily available in most Nike shops in Singapore.
341 runs logged so far and still holding well.

You are using the Nike+ sportwatch? How much you pay for it?

I see it has a sensor kit in the shoe, can you use without it? Cos if have to use it with Nike shoes then not so useful.

Panerai is love-hate for most ppl. The unique look means either u like or don't like. Not to generalise, but somehow the ppl i know who like panerai of a similar pattern.

I wouldn't say most of us who do not like Panerai are bashing it. It is rather that we do not identify with the image or that we look for other things in the watches we love.

Can still use the shoe...the sensor is to use with the watch for data tracking. Like distance ran. Route. Timing. Pace. Steps taken and other stuffs.

Seasoned or professional runners will need these data to probably change their running style or certain ways of running

Panerai not my cup of team cos most of them too big for me. But I do like their Radiomir Black Seal. Sibei chio

Orient Bambino? Something sportier will be the Orient dive watches. Good quality and relatively low on price.

My humble (but costly by my standards) purchase for today, a preowned vintage 1988 datejust for my husband to be in October as a wedding gift. Basically did a week odd of research - I'm a watch newbie. Nothing fanciful just a simple classic watch that was made in his birth year. Did a swap to leather strap to make the gift more appropriate for the wrist of a 26 year old guy.

Nice prezzie for your HB to be. Side note, you have a nice palm lines with fortunes n reputation. Gratz.

I think I paid only about 200sgd for it at Harvey Norman at suntec. Got a 15% discount for it because I actually purchased other items that day and was offered by the SA. Retail should be around 249?
The shoe pod actually cost $30. So if you purchased one with it its about 279.
I have been running without the shoe pod.
IMO only in instances when GPS signal is weak you will need one.

yeah u are right, but i'm sure there are some quality brands out there that hardly spend on marketing and focuses on producing quality watches. Hamilton comes to my mind first, not sure if ud agree with it.
