Have seen a lady wearing this before and I must say its very catchy and obvious, nice watch with bright colors, but sometimes I find the detail slightly too complicated , what say you guys?

Nonetheless, I still think the watch Is a beauty

Does anyone know the retail price of a submariner? I am falling in love with them.
Never been a real fan of Rolex till I read the recent threads about them.

Was always a iwc and omega fan....

I know there are 4 models
1) black dial, no date
2) black dial with date
3) green dial
4) blue dial with yellow gold

I think there's one with green bezel and black dial called the LV.

the current rolex submariner date with the supersized case, maxi dial, parachrome spring, ceramic bezel and hellava improved bracelet aka subC is approx sgd11.5k at the ADs and sgd9.5k at the GM.

since you're an omega fan, do you have the speedmaster professional moonwatch?

cheers!

the green bezel/black dial was rolex anniversary sub model, which came earlier. its bezel is aluminum. its green is slightly yellower. its rinky dink bracelet sucks.

the green bezel/green dial LV model is nicknamed the hulk, which came later. its bezel is ceramic. it's green is less yellow. it's bracelet is vastly improved, more solid and in keeping with the quality of the watch.

cheers!

question on gas tubes watches... for e.g. ball... when the gas tubes stop glowing.. able to refill in the future when servicing? or have to change the whole dial?

Technically speaking, they never stop glowing. Only get weaker by half every 12 yrs i thk. . its the half life of tritium.

Anyway ball can change by tubes.

Iirc the cost of changing per tube is abt $15. Not sure if there's any increment over the years. You may wish to verify it with BALL

Strong advocate for the speedmaster ah? I don't have a preference for chrono watches now, as I have several already.

At this moment prefer a watch with a simple dial. Only recently became an omega fan due to reading lots on watchuseek forum. Current grail is PO 8500 and AT 8500 (Blue face). Thought of buying two but.. movements are the same.

Just started my own business, so all's money on board. So slowly saving money to buy one once the business break even (hehe to reward myself).

Most precious watch now I own is IWC Portofino with the Milanese mesh (which I love a lot)

And of course now, another favourite is Rolex.

Oh Gosh, the lust for all these watches doesn't stop at all.

So can buy a hulk with the ceramic bezel and then is it possible to order a normal black ceramic bezel from rolex and swap?

Now why will you want to do that? So after swapping you get black bezel with green dial? In any case Rolex won't allow you to order parts separately. They control their parts distribution extremely strictly.

the speedmaster craze is all started by tt01, spreading deadly poison. resistance is futile.
