THAT you don't have to worry. if they ask, ask them how they can tell it's fake? cos you'd need to sue THG/Cortina/Dickson/etc for selling you a fake piece.

say all these with a smile, no egos hurt, and they know not to mess ard with you anymore ;)

some genuine rolex sub owners will have you know that they're so fed up with being regularly challenged to prove & educate to people around them that their sub is the real deal and not a counterfeit that they've given up and just say it's a cheap fake from chinatown/bkk/sungei wang/wherever just to save on the grief, roflmao.

those who wear a fake are forever tormented with the fear that they'll eventually be found out and ridiculed, even though many can't tell from a distance, because seriously one price, one quality.

anyway, wear the watch that makes yourself smile & feel good. knowing yours is the genuine real deal puts that extra spring in your step & posture to your height.

if people want me to wear a watch TO LOOK GOOD FOR THEM, THEY SHOULD JOLLY WELL SPONSOR THAT WATCH FOR ME.

Hi All,

went to see the watch today, cannot resist the poison, went there to see see and tempt myself but in the end cannot resist ............ end up with me now.....haizzzz!!!!

Also that there are only 2 pieces in Singapore and the price of ALS is going up by 8% in April..... see all this sales tactics!!!

The box that is also a winder is magnificent!!! Really beautiful!!!

Pardon the pics, camera no battery so use iphone....

Lots of stuff to read to justify to yourself it's a good buy!!!

IMG_0724.jpg

The Dial is actually much whiter than this pics, I compared with the Platinum piece over and over and the Platinum piece in real life just do not stand out, really not nice, if platinum the dial should be in Black then it's a killer

IMG_0729.jpg

The back is really nicely made, got the deployant clasp, again I say it's a silly policy to charge on top of tang buckle, deployant clasp is friction lock and very difficult to close, that's a minus one for an almost S$3k top up.

Finally the 2 side by side, I'm glad I bought or I'll be thinking of it for the next few days...

Magnificent beauty! Congrats!!

I have a few questions.

Been looking at Steinhart/Laco watch for a very long time(since stowa no local AD , I decided to give it a pass). I'm interested in Steinhart marine 38 as I have 6.5inch wrist..

1. Do automatic watch require maintenance/servicing? If yes, how often ?

2. What about citizen/orient automatic watch? Seemed like they are cheaper but have the equally "expensive" look , have at least 100m WR for like $100-$200 instead of the pathetic 30m for most steinhart/laco non diver watch which cost 500+.

3. Seems like citizen eco drive is also highly recommended but it is a quartz watch, do you guys recommend it? Quartz watch means there are electrical components in the watch which also means it will spoil after few years or?

4. So without talking about the high end watch and stuff, would you go for a 600 dollar steinhart 30m WR or get a 200 dollar citizen/orient 100m WR both are automatic (may be different movement) which looks the same ?

Standard if around 5 years... but if your time is still within the standard, then no servicing is needed :o

2. What about citizen/orient automatic watch? Seemed like they are cheaper but have the equally "expensive" look , have at least 100m WR for like $100-$200 instead of the pathetic 30m for most steinhart/laco non diver watch which cost 500+.

Citizen/orient watch are good for the price you pay! But of course the movement may varies(need sexpert to comment on this)

3. Seems like citizen eco drive is also highly recommended but it is a quartz watch, do you guys recommend it? Quartz watch means there are electrical components in the watch which also means it will spoil after few years or?

Quartz watch are the most accurate one and usually no maintenance is needed. fyi, I got a quartz chronograph watch... after 5 years still strong.

4. So without talking about the high end watch and stuff, would you go for a 600 dollar steinhart 30m WR or get a 200 dollar citizen/orient 100m WR both are automatic (may be different movement) which looks the same ?

buy what you like, and can afford. not what is cheaper ;)...
