Suggest maybe u can look at it from a different angle:

1. Any watch u have in mind? No point buy a watch for the sake of it being cheaper..
2. If yes, check out the local shops 1st to get an idea of the price net of discounts.
3. When u are in Europe, can pop into the shops and do your sums whether the watch will cost u more or less.

I understand that PAMs are cheaper in Italy. Swiss is not cheap to get watches.

U also need to consider the FX rates, whether u are willing to set time for VAT refund and whether the location of the watch shops are convenient to your itinerary.

Some bros may have direct Europe watch shopping experience to share which will be much more valuable.

You may also want to consider checking out grey dealer prices as another benchmark depending on whether you mind getting grey sets.

Take a look at the threads in sgroc. There are threads that discuss this there in more details. Depending on models and popularity, you may not find watches that you want there as well so its good if you can check for availability in advance.

I agree that Swiss prices are not attractive nowadays.

What the 2 bros said earlier.

I went to those 3 in Nov, don't bother with switzerland if price is a concern.

Pams in italy are somewhat cheaper but usually OOS for base models.

Paris is pretty alright in terms of prices after the vat rebate but have to take credit card exchange rate into consideration. And also depends on the brand and model.

Back then I kept an eye out for the FC moonphase and Longines moonphase and these 2 models were definitely cheaper in Paris.

Do you have any particular watch in mind?

If you are travelling with group, the tour manager will probably bring you to the various Bucherers to collect Rolex spoons like the one below. Cheap thrill for me. :D

Azrielsc... this is Lizard skin right?

Nope... Cobra skin. I already have 1 python skin for my wife's Pam so decided to go with something more exotic. :)

oh sorry to hear that.

dont give up :) jiayou jiayou

Have you considered TCM? Know of a sinseh that is quite recommended.

Thanks for the encouragement. No worries at all, not really uptight about the situation. If have, have, if don't have, nevermind.

Thinking of asking for a mia-noi (2nd wife in Thai) if I want a child. Mia-Luang (1st wife in Thai) must agree 1st. I think cheaper for a 2nd wife than trying for a child.

If I don't post after this, say a few words at my grave. Hehehe!

Yeah usually the 5600 range is better for ladies. Bought the red one for my sis too.

However for the G-shocks you shock go with GA or GD series, looks pretty fine on a lady as well. My wife is wearing mine.
Haha, I think any 5600 series- the 'square' G shocks fits me pretty okay. It's the 'round shaped/odd shape' type that I will encounter problems.

I like the new camouflage series (red model) - G-SHOCK TO RELEASE NEW 'CAMO SERIES' | Sneaker Freaker but due to the size I'll never able to pull that off. :(

As long as there isn't any genetic or physical anomalies(which I assume you've already ruled out since you've been to many doctors) that prevent you from having kids, I'm sure you'll be able to have kids. Its just a matter of time.

You're suggestion does sound like a very tempting proposal.... hahaha.....

Interesting picks.....

Look on the bright side, I get to aim for an ALS. :) Can't choose PP because I am not looking at giving to the next generation. Hahaha!

nobody is ever ready lah. but I tell you, my biggest regret is having kids too late.

after getting married at 25/26, we wanted to have a yr or two to ourselves; then wanted to build our careers, then want this want that......by the time we checked, i'm already 32.

when my kids are supposedly financially ready on their own at 25, i'm already 58. I'd probably be a burden to them early in their career if I want them to give me an allowance (it's something I will insist).

have kids early. nobody is ever ready. you will be ready when your kids arrive :) they complete my life :)

Yatto-san, i wldn't call that a regret, because things wld have been very different if you chose to have kids earlier. Who knows, you may not even be where you are today. Maybe it was meant to happen this way for you so that things will eventually work out to be the best for you and your family :)

Anyway, 30s is still young to have kids lah. You will have good karma, so go forth and multiply!
