hi guys. new to this thread. just chanced upon it while looking for some info abt watches. got a lot of qns. but jus a simple one for now. what u guys think abt the watches available here: German watches, tactical watches, watch accessories - Gnomonwatches.com

quite like a few of the watches. so my question is, are those watches worth to buy? got german watch but swiss made. got swiss watch but japan movement. im hoping to buy my first swiss watch with my limited budget. but not sure which one to get.

my thinking is if like buy lah... watch is a luxury.

got time on phone already so if anything its a fashion statement and/or self indulgence.

there's so many designs and price points surely you can find one that fits your taste/budget etc.

if not sure then buy used! change strap and away you go...:s12:

Ok the story was.....I managed to find a watch corner at mitsukoshi nagoya. Not much but they had the major brands like PP Rolex Panerai ALS etc. the only lange one they had was the grande.

Then tried to find the King G shock but they dun have leh. Then our kids were making a ruckus so I had to leave to play with them.

Then chubu airport also got watch shop but nothing much.

That concludes my own shopping. 15mins max. I am looking to fly there over the good fri hols for my own shopping.

i dont hv a specific design that i prefer. i see watever is nice, i like. dont hv a pic of my seiko. jus for example, i'm ok with all these kind of designs:

so...basically any watch that is nice, i dont mind getting.

Check out Ronin watches. They have a store at Millenia Walk (Good Goods). Singaporean brand, watches made in HK with Unitas movement. I have one, very good value and very nice. Stopped by a lot of people at my workplace who thought its IWC big pilot. IMO it's nicer :D

Never had any problem with my solar G-shock & Protrek.
The battery is replaceable (Panasonic CTL1616).

Most users reckon it can last up to 15 years without replacement. But by then, the resin straps probably broke.
