i remember someone here mentioned about using CC to buy watches at Airport Transit to gain CC points and Changi Airport reward points plus extra perks...

then the airport reward points can redeem vouchers to use within Airport... or something like that

Think that was me.....cos of the iwc portugese perpetual calendar
End up net price same as outside AD...... And the vouchers can only be used in changi airport.

Cc buy watch usually boh hua. AD can offer better discount if using cash. Usually I use CC to buy gold or jewellery

Well she does have a reason for it - for the coming japan trip.
She doesnt have a mid size bag which can hold a camera. The never full we have is XL and its quite cumbersome to lug around.

Nowadays i use my amex SQ .....chalk up miles. For places that dont accept amex i use manhattan and citibank dividend.
Cold storage and ntuc use maybank family and friends card.
SPC i use everyday card
Meidi ya i use jcb

Why cover up with small white lies and then forget about it and then one day, it comes back up and bites you in the ass.

Man up. If she disapproves or scolds you about the price or whatever, explain to her your reasoning and take it on the chin and move on.

If you look at it objectively, this is a small matter. There will be bigger matters in the future that requires the trust between the two of you.

amex krisflyer if you do calculation same as their rewards card. rewards card still can redeem credit while amex krisflyer can't.

my amex krisflyer ended up unused, only use their airport lounge for yao kui buffet and free hotel stay..

edit: provided you listed SQ as your fav merchant to earn extra points.
