What tag???

Do you know how many years warranty does watches sold in creation-watches online comes with???

Does the prices reflected includes GST or any other subcharges>???

How can are they able to price their watches so competitively.....


Learning from you guys....

As far as I can gather,

1) it has a 1 year international manufacturer warranty

2) shipping within Singapore is FREE

3) the list price is all you pay, no other hidden taxes or fees

Rainer boxes are pretty famous. If anyone is doing a MO, please count me in. I am interested in either the 12 or 18.

Yes, they seem to be pretty well known. Read about 12-18 watch boxes being shallower than the 6-8 ones, so tall watches may press against the bottom of the cover.

I heard about the Rainer boxes too, but also of people saying the construction is not as good as people think......but if MO can make it cheaper I may get. Are the partitions solid wood?

That is the thing. Some forum reviews mentioned that the Rainer boxes are made in Thailand but sent to Germany for "re-branding" before being sent out.

Also if I am not wrong, minimum orders start at 10 pcs, with a max of 10% discount or so.

So only if we get interest for 10 or more boxes, I MAY start this MO, provided if I have the time.

Actually the strap I'm using now looks v much like what you mentioned. Has a very vintage feel , now after some thought I'm thinking if I should change it at all. One think for sure it's extremely loose.

Perhaps you can consider having a strap made for you. That way, it will be perfect. No excess leather, one or 2 holes punched for your exact wrist size, any color you want, any material you want...

I agree with CBS about getting a proper strap for your watch. Having a watch that is too loose for you will diminish whatever enjoyment you may have, since it will not be comfortable.

I propose a nice black shiny croc belly strap!

I did go early at 6:15pm, but we did sit at the back near the grill. Mistake number 1.

Mistake number 2 was ordering the lamb. The other dishes came reasonably fast, but the lamb took 2 hours (they told us it would only take 45 mins). By the time it came (after chasing them multiple times), the restaurant was packed, it was hot, we were sweating, we lost our appetite, it was overcooked and everyone was pissed.

To be fair, the food was good enough to revisit. But the aircon and shortage of staff issues need to be addressed.

I guess it's because I never ordered the lamb before, and after 1 time sitting near the grill, made sure I never sat there again..

Always ordered their steak or burgers or lobster, food always came in a timely fashion, wait staff usually friendly and efficient..

Give them a chance I say!

this is it.

if you know your history steve mc queen did wonders for heuer but couldn't save rolex explorer. it was the newer explorer II that sold loads more.

part of the reason is also the lack of supply for non-selling models in the past that makes it so much rarer in the present. remains to be seen how much the popular rolex today will appreciate in the future. but honestly no one knows.

The Steve McQueen connection with the 1655 remains a mystery to me. I've read that there is no pictorial evidence of him with the 1655 (and he has never acknowledged nor refuted the connection), whereas he has been captured on pictures over multiple occasions wearing the Submariner 5512 instead.

As for the Heuer (specifically the Monaco), my understanding is that he wore it in the capacity of an actor wearing a prop, and nothing more. The rest was really the credit of clever marketing.

For a modern analogy, kind of like Daniel Craig wearing sea master as James Bond but wears rolex as Daniel Craig, although I must caveat that I am not suggesting that Daniel Craig commands the same level of cult status of Steven McQueen (which he does not IMHO, at least not at this point in time).

Each of azrielsc's strap can easily buy u a seiko skx snzh + throw in some mods and possibly still left with change to spare.

There are more affordable options at K2, bras basah. Of course you cannot expect the same quality and exoticity of the straps la!

Right on both counts. Steve McQueen never wore a 1665 and Monaco's connection is all marketing and PR by Tag Heuer.

It depends on your perception of "value".

For example, I buy a jacket on sale at Uniqlo for $70. It's made of a nice material and is stylish and comfy. The only problem is, it's a bit wide in the waist, long in the sleeves and has cheap plastic buttons. To fix that, I would need to spend $100.

I would spend the money personally. That $100 spent would make the jacket look and feel like a $1000 bespoke jacket. Total spent is $170 for something that looks and feels like $1000.

Worth it to me.

Do you want to feel like you're wearing a quality product that's specifically made for you? Or would you rather live with the discomfort of something not quite right everytime you wear it?
