Hi,
I am interested in getting this Tag Heuer Model: CALIBRE 1887
AUTOMATIC CHRONOGRAPH 43 mm (REF: CAR2A10.BA0799)

I saw the price tag in Watches of Switzerland of this watch is SGD$7200.
Anyone knows if this is the retail price? It is similar with Tag Heuer Boutiques too?
I heard I can get discounts from shops like Watches of Switzerland, Cortina Watches, Sincere Watches etc... Is it true? Even the boutiques also provides discounts up to 20%?

Any where else having better prices? I dont want to get it online as I am afraid it might be fake. I wanted to buy from a shop physically. haha...

This is my first time getting such an expensive watch.
So can anyone give me suggestions and advice???

i dont think its worth to spend so much on a tag.

my 2 cents

I actually have been looking at the P1 becos it's full steel - but seems like it's quite rare even from grey importers....

can share how much u got it for?

anyway I have pm-ed you the details for the FC - all the best!

u can get 10% off the rrp listed at shops. the website pricing is misleading(exclude gst) till i went to enquire since one of its retail was near mine.

i was quite swayed from gettin the p1 as its m.i.c. but its actually q pleasant to the eyes aesthetically and i love huge watches. but pricing-wise, the fc was pricey-er tho it was a beauty

yup i saw the details. i was guessing thg at paragon initially. hahah!

wah since 1998..... I still in NS then.... 20y.o.

only bought my first luxury watch (the maurice lacroix skeleton) in 2004 with my first bonus. Honestly sometimes kicking myself for not buying a rolex back then, despite the SA pushing heavily.
My first working watch a Tag quartz.regretted too should get lolex

Today quite free. Spent quite a bit of time working out.

Yup, FF. Still the best in the market here i must say. Did a 10 mile run outdoors at 12pm earlier.

Hot!

Wah you must have plenty energy. 10 mile is 16km!! almost 1/2 marathon. Guys, I think we have a Captain America in our midst!

Possible that the RRP of the same piece went up based on current prices but certainly not an indication of what he can get if he sells off his watches today. + the tag i believe is discontinued model. They dont even name the series 2000, 4000 etc anymore

The general 20% discount was reduced to 15% discount in 1 Jan 2012 (iirc) and that's for boutique. AD I think you might get slightly better. If you want even better prices, get from reputed grey dealer in swx forums. However, not sure if they have this model. Not many Tags there but more Rolex (duh of course), AP, Panerais, Pateks and the higher end stuff.

my 2 cents

If 'a tag' has the connotation of the Tag of 10 years ago (think plastic bezel F1) maybe. But Tag has transformed itself in leaps and bounds over the last decade. I suggest he try it on himself. Movement wise the 1887 is respected among the WIS.

i did 21km on Vesak day actually. Although its only 5km difference, but the fatigue after is no joke, especially under the hot sun:s13:

Truth is i do feel tired. I just try my best to enjoy the moment and the experience. After all, no one run is exactly the same.
