It's 2 extremes. If a person should not have financial means but wears a sakti watch, people may get impression he doesn't know how to spend wisely. Other extreme, if you have the means and wear a sakti watch, people will get the impression you are rich and powerful. So moral of story, wear what is true reflection of oneself. :) pam ok la....not too sakti, just wear :)

PS : should have multi quote.

Its very jialat if your biggest boss or head wear only a longiness/ball and u are spotted wearing something more exp than him. Especially for loud watches like pam is a no no for sure.

I hav ppl who joke about calling in cpib to chk on those who wear exp watches, carry branded and is juz some engineer/admin executive. Whether they really meant it as a joke is another story. Better play safe man

Wah we got same taste, iirc you also have the 500m AR right?

Haha. I was given a choice of the 500m AR and 300m AR at Sincere. Went for the latter. Haha looks more like sub. Haha but the 500 AR will suit my age then.

Sometimes it depends. Some bosses may not own expensive or luxury watches but look at the car they drive and other stuff. They maybe into other stuff. Maybe they have some damn satki diy pc at home for all we know. Or super expensive audio set up. Haha..different hobbies I guess.

The engineer/admin executive can just save for a few months, eat grass and buy the watch... No need to call in CPIB. Unlike huge purchases like cars, houses!

Yes, you hit the nail but let me further elaborate...

Many people today especially younger ones chases after stuff way beyond their means, to satisfy ego and peer pressure. When u r rich (subjective as everyone definition of rich is different), you buy because u like it.

To simplify. when you not there yet, you spend money to impress others first and then pamper yourself. When you made it, you spend money to pamper yourself first and impressing others is secondary.

Alright....a question...
my Managing director wears a SS Daydate Rolex.
my Marketing director wears a hulk sub with date.

Should I get:
A) a black sub or
B) JLC reverso or
C) AP RO or
D) PAM 000

My boss just isn't into watches. He has other assets.

Haha just work for the time being. Can't wait to go into private sector man.

If u pte uni best to jump. Garmen no prospects for poly grads or pte uni grads. Ur payscale forever below those official uni grads. I hav frens from sim working there for 10 years their pay abt the same as those fresh grads. Very sad one

But if u spotted constantly changing new bags or watches will incite jealousy one loh. Dun underestimate power of jealousy.
