Ya the skeletonizing is really nice; I was totally smitten the day I first laid my eyes on it. I'm not sure when this new version was launched but after my model was discontinued, they had this new skeleton which my SA told me, couldn't sell. Then after a while I saw this new version on collectorstime.com.

Many will recommend Tissot Visodate. I also have a small wrist. Slightly bigger than yours.

I happened to see the PR 516 on Tissot website, it looks really interesting, would prefer that to the normal Visodate, haha. But not sure how much it cost locally.

If you don't mind green, how about the Seiko Alpinist SARB017?

Only con is the stock leather strap is not very good so probably need aftermarket options. The original bracelet looks the best IMO, but is hard to find and expensive

Hello all, I've been lurking around for quite sometime and have been deeply poison.

I would like some suggestion for my first automatic watch. My budget is ard $700 or less. I kinda like the Orient Star retrograde but i'm weighing my options to see if there are any other options.

I have a small wrist size, about 6". So would prefer something 40mm and below. Sporty or dress watches are fine with me too.

Not sure about Visodate's price. IIRC some bro mentioned that it's < $700. Bambino is $156 to $163 depending on "colour" from creationwatches.

a lot of folks start with base model, 000, then move on...maybe its that AP logo that screams "i'm a panerai"

personally i think the 111 offers more with the second hand and display back, sandwich dial - a lot to just discover visually and appreciate. the less crowded dial without the logo also emulates the pricier models, and retains the stature of a base model.

The AP logo will say to you: "The name's Piguet... Audemars Piguet."
