since i'm talking abt rolex workmanship, i sent in my daytona for servicing in SG RSC and after two weeks i got back the watch. briefly check and left the place. next day flew off SG, then few days later discover some DEEP scratches behind the lower chrono pusher.
didn't really bother abt it much cos its a daily beater to me so well.. not really heart pain but just to share my experience.![]()
Prob happened when they tried to grip and remove the caseback?
To me it reflects on 2 things. 1, the skill of the technicians...maybe newbies. 2, integrity. Can't be that the technician didn't notice the DEEP scratches. If didn't notice, then really jialat see number 1. Definitely didn't expect this from Rolex of all watchmakers. They have the skill and they have the biggest revenue and probably profit of all watchmakers.

Good morning everybody! Sharing with you guys my new hoot that arrived yesterday. It's a 1970s vintage favre leuba that I won with 50 usd on ebay. Plenty of reburished dials out there but I managed to get this with original dial- with original hands and movement too. Intending to change the strap to bluebut just making do with the black now cos it's too loose for me.

very good condition for a vintage. if its plexiplass you can polish it yourself with "polyglass". The case can be cleaned up with "gold and silver polish"Speaking of scratches..here's a close up:

BTW the scratches is really deep scratches which i don't think polishing will remove.
Bought my first Rolex Lady DateJust (pre-owned though!) from HJ Watches. Now I find myself switching from bag crazy to watch crazy. There is so much to learn in watches & movement & etc! Not to mention, there are so many watches I want to get but not enough $$$! Haha...![]()
