Need advise. Any comments on Chuan Watch? Can the price be negotiated further?

This will have to be between you and Chuan Watch. Buyer/seller relationship differs from individual to individual.

I think none of us here can tell u exactly can negotiate or not unless he/she is an owner.

i want to email them but there is no email contacts available anywhere except phone number. but how to tell them there is scratches left by them over the phone? can they even visualize how deep the scratches is? :s22:

Why don't you call them and ask for the email address over the phone?

If you feel uncomfortable or concerned they may tai-chi you when you tell them the purpose, you simply tell them you want to write a complimentary letter for their exemplary service they provided to you.

Sometimes we have to tell white lies to proceed to the next step. This is such a time to call upon your supply of white lies.

If RSC Sg don't have an email there is an email that goes straight to their HQ.

Had lunch with the wife before going to the doctor (yes I'm sick). At ION so wife finally agrees to go have a look at panerai with me (note: she has always disliked the crown guard).

The missus' verdict: the 24 is quite small on my wrist. She prefers me with the 305 because it stands out more.

If you are sincere about buying, any business, including Chuan Watch, will see it, and there is always room for negotiation. No business person would rather lose a sale if at all possible.

I learned this from my wife. She will negotiate with any shop. Sometimes even fixed priced shops like Taka or Tangs, if she finds an angle that can possibly give her a discount, she will ask for the manager and speak to him/her.

The funny thing is, she succeeds most of the time... She says the trick is to convince them that her logic is correct and she will be a repeat customer, which she would be if she gets her way.

Honestly the watch doesn't speak to me. I was actually promoting the 024 to my wife about the cyclops, the concentric circle patterns on the seconds dial etc but just one look and she says the 024 is too small on me IF I'm looking for a panerai that stands out.

She only agreed to go with me to panerai if i go with her to ferragamo......and yes, the missus got another pair of new shoes.

Should have just gone to panerai with u guys. :D

Ooooh.. a sexpensive pair of ferragamos. :D

If the 305 don't speak to you, don't waste time lah. You like 024 just buy the damn 024 or don't buy anything at all.

Buy the IWC perpetual lah, she like, you also like right. Hoot 1x good one then join me eating grass. I reserve a space for you. :D

Hi RWC (regular watch collectors),

It is time to showcase the Eastern watches from China. Found this complete box of 1960s mint watches which all made in China while I was on project in some secluded place in China.

I like one of them which is a military issue watch. Hope you guys learn something today.

Yatto, I agree with Paladium. Why get a watch that you do not really like? Honestly, you are the one wearing it, unless your wife wants to try and wear it.

Anyway, if you want the 24 to look bigger, try thicker straps or bund straps instead. Or even play with the colour of the straps.

Quite a lot of possibilities once you step in the world of Panerai straps! ;)

Second both Azrielsc's and Paladium's comments. I think buying something that your wife likes is important but buying something that YOU will like is even more important. At the end of the day, the watch is going to be worn by you. So just MTL, get the 024!

Only thought it's possible if it's manned by certain promoters.

Tried with tech stuff in Best, Challenger etc. Have yet to try in Taka/Tangs.

^what I do in a deadlock situation like this, is I forget it for the mement. Look elsewhere. Wait a few months, the desire for the 24 may fade away.
