Honestly the watch doesn't speak to me. I was actually promoting the 024 to my wife about the cyclops, the concentric circle patterns on the seconds dial etc but just one look and she says the 024 is too small on me IF I'm looking for a panerai that stands out.

She only agreed to go with me to panerai if i go with her to ferragamo......and yes, the missus got another pair of new shoes.

Should have just gone to panerai with u guys.

For Pam Subs, I find that strap choices can be a bit limiting due to the nature of the watch. However, with a black dial, it sort of mitigates that effect.

For my Sub, I went down the safe route, whereas my other Pams tend to have more exotic straps.

Yatto, I agree with Paladium. Why get a watch that you do not really like? Honestly, you are the one wearing it, unless your wife wants to try and wear it.

Anyway, if you want the 24 to look bigger, try thicker straps or bund straps instead. Or even play with the colour of the straps.

Quite a lot of possibilities once you step in the world of Panerai straps!

false objections! if the pam024 doesn't stand out....the rest of your watches....

....she is asking your for a deal - you get the watch she gets the shoes, so you both get off guilt-free

wow you guys are splitting hairs much finer than i do. to me a pam will always look big, it looks bigger if you put a fat strap on it

the thing I dislike about owning a pam is that it makes the rest of the collection look small. i tend to put the pam away for months to get rid of this residual memory.

Try modena rubber strap or the good ol' isofrane.

Most people won't use stock leather or rubber strap cause it will affect resale value.

No worries, Yatto. Just that I won't lug my ammo box out anymore.

As for the strap question, how can a strap make a Pam look smaller! The Pam is already so BIG. With a bund strap, you would be rocking something huge. Like this:

Cheap does not equal good leh...

But it seems that the "best" aftermarket rubber strap for Pam and also Rolex, that I know of, is from RubberB

Or you can look for Ted Su's rubber strap: 24mm Dive buckle and strap for Panerai
